Comment
[edit]Why is this article written using double line-spacing? I think this needs some serious revision. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gregsinclair (talk • contribs) 23:58, 16 April 2007 (UTC).
I agree. This article has dropped from 5 to 0. I liked the previous one a LOT better. Piecemealcranky 07:09, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
I agree that this article needs revision. Especially the synopsis. Minase didn't make any damn pack with Kitami. He found the black bible, and fooled around with it. In fact, he doubt it would work, but when it seemingly did for a classmate, he tried it on a girl HE liked. He didn't attempt to have "all the sex he wanted." He only used it on a girl he had a crush on who was seriously out of his league. There weren't any conversions going on.
I don't think typing "Bible Black" or "Black Bible" in the search bar should redirect here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.94.100.165 (talk) 17:52, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Edit 04/12/06 Copyright and Extraneous Info
[edit]I removed the first two synopsii and am thinking that maybe all the credits should be removed too as they really clutter the page. If anyone agrees, please make the edit for me, as I no longer have as much free time as before.
Edit 03/01/06 Copyright
[edit]The episode synopsii from Anime News Network are not PD material and need to be removed as they violate ANN's copyright. The third synopsii (New Testament) is fine, because it is the text released by the distributor, but the other two are copyright violations.
Edit 02/23/06: Proposed Episode Guide
[edit]I would like to see an episode guide and have gone to great lengths to produce a US-name for most episodes as well as a proper play order. Obviously, there are also Japanese, Spanish, Dutch, and Polish names that I've been aware of. I've added my proposed addition below. I would appreciate anyone that could extend it into the article in a more formal fashion. I'm a first time user and don't want to hastily add something that isn't complete to the article.
US Episode Names
01 - Night of the Walpulgiss - Ep1 (Bible Black 1)
02 - Night of the Walpulgiss - Ep2 (Bible Black 2)
03 - Night of the Walpulgiss - Ep3 (Second Sacrament 1)
04 - Night of the Walpulgiss - Ep4 (Second Sacrament 2)
05 - Night of the Walpulgiss - Ep5 (Revelations 1)
06 - Night of the Walpulgiss - Ep6 (Revelations 2)
07 - Origins (Gaiden) - Ep1 (Black Brand)
08 - Origins (Gaiden) - Ep2 (Black Altar)
09 - New Testament (Revival_The Spear of Longinus) - Ep1 (Chapter I - Revival)
10 - New Testament (Revival_The Spear of Longinus) - Ep2 (Chapter II - Reunion)
11 - New Testament (Revival_The Spear of Longinus) - Ep3 (Chapter III - Rule)
12 - New Testament (Revival_The Spear of Longinus) - Ep4 (Chapter IV - Recollection)
13 - Only (Forbidden Art) - Ep1
14 - Only (Forbidden Art) - Ep2
15 - Only (Forbidden Art) - Ep3
==Edit 12/21/05:== In Japanese, surname precedes given name; previous writer assumed otherwise and used surnames to refer to the characters. Fixed this and also a misconception regarding Kitami's body-switch: she's scot-free after switching souls, not just getting another 12 years.
- It's possible that said editor meant to refer to characters by their family names. This is not uncommon. — flamingspinach | (talk) 01:24, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
- Except the family names are rarely used in the anime outside of teachers, and many were only found in the game. It seemed simpler to just use the names most common in the anime and game. 66.31.101.67 06:34, 13 January 2006 (UTC)Anonymous /b/tard

[edit]Half finished sentence here...
It is based on an eroge of the same name. The game was created by Active-Soft, and turned into an anime by Milky's ???
Edit, 1/23-24/06
[edit]I've been revising much of the content, especially grammatical errors. Most of the content seems to have been borrowed from a fansite "www.bibleblack.us". Hope to "complete" this page soon. Probably will still qualify as a stub. - 207.189.193.254
Links ...
[edit]The links that are already here lead to the websites of the game producer and the animation studio, Active-Soft and Milky respectively. Unfortunately, the sites are entirely in Japanese. So far, it's been hard to find an English-language site of some sort that isn't either a DVD review or fansite (though both kinds may be eligible for "link" status). Any suggestions? - 207.189.193.254
Bible Black: Only
[edit]Does someone have a list of the Bible Black: Only vignettes at hand ? And does the recent Imari special released with the BB box qualify as such ?
Speculation On Reika Kitami
[edit]From what has been seen in Bible Black: La Lancza de Longinus thus far, I speculate that Reika Kitami is now split into two separate beings: Kurumi Imari, the policewoman, and Jodi, a half-ghostly being.
In Bible Black: La noche de Walpurgis, the ritual that was supposed to have transferred Kitami's spirit into Imari's body may have been partially disrupted, causing Kitami's spirit to be split asunder. As a result, part of Kitami's spirit was successfully transferred to Imari while another part became an otherworldly being named Jodi, who lives outside the normal concept of life. Both beings desire to live life, but are tortured in some way, perhaps because of their split existence.
Kitami herself may be instinctively trying to become one being again, though how this would done is unknown. Perhaps the solution lies in a young detective whom she knew in his high school days - and perhaps he could heal her wounded soul and help to turn her away from evil.
Fascinating, isn't it? --Chameleon (Marc3, 2006).
Satanism
[edit]I propose that the word "Satanic" should be changed to black magic, occultic, or something along those lines. It's linking to "Satanism", which is an article on LaVeyan Satanism. A more generic term like those mentioned above would be more appropriate for what is displayed in the movies. JanderVK
Yeh you're right... It supposed not to be used "Satanic". Chimerarc —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chimerarc (talk • contribs) 19:04, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
youtube
[edit]Should we make a note on how Bible Black is routinely banned from youtube but nevertheless has a number of videos making light of the English dub's quality? i.e. 'Hentai funtime' or 'the worse dub ever?'
The New Content
[edit]Wow, what has happened the the layout? I find it really difficult to read now even after the plot analysis being done, and they were more like a review to me. Piecemealcranky 02:36, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- This is a rather low-traffic article, and is plagued by POV. If you can do anything with the actual content of this article, then do so as is prudent. It still reads like an advert, as noted below. -Biokinetica 08:00, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Bbbasic 29.jpg
[edit]Image:Bbbasic 29.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:42, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

So many mistakes
[edit]Like this one "To have all the sex and power he could ever want, Minase made a pact with the demonic university nurse, Miss Kitami".. This is just not true.. Miss Kitami seduced him and gave him a lesser demon... This article needs a serious rewrite MihaS 08:47, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Votivus Website
[edit]Please can i know why votivus site is removed everytime?? its not a SPAM link or something like that. I buyed a domain for it,just for this stuff, not to stop or another things, its just a BB Fan Forum and website,no ads,pop-ups ,no information security ... waiting reply . thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by Minase1 (talk • contribs) 16:54, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- People are likely removing the site because it's general Wikipedia policy to not include such a site. That said, I've deleted the site again. See item 10 on Links to Avoid. Ultatri (talk) 02:36, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Game vs Anime
[edit]Does anyone have a good reason why this article talks about both the game and the anime when clearly the dominant information in this article is about the Anime?
Idealistically, if there is enough content to flesh out two articles, this article should be split into two different ones.
If there is not enough available information for a Game and Anime article, then the Game information should be part of the article dealing primarily with the Anime.

Takashiro and Minase's Disappearence
[edit]"It is also possible that Takashiro had something to do with his disappearance, since during episode 3, Kitami/Imari blames Takashiro for taking "my Minase away from me."
I believe Kitami in the quoted statement is actually referring to how she perceives Takashiro's influence lead to Minase's ultimate betrayal of her in the first series. Moreover, it is clearly Kitami and not Imari speaking, as is evident from the animators choosing to superimpose a shadow Kitami over Imari's body throughout the particular sequence. Thus, I conclude that this accusation cannot be related to Minase's non-appearence in the New Testament series. TathD (talk) 21:44, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
US Cover
[edit]The character holding the bible and with an upskirt surrounded by the two characters in revealing leather shall be named somewhere in the info box... Which characters are they? Since the game's protagonist is male and they are female it is obvious none of them is the protagonist but which female characters are they? Someone who knows the answer must fill it in for readers of the article.Undead Herle King (talk) 19:00, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Setting
[edit]"Both teachers and students practice an occult religion involving incantations. Sex, horror imagery and human sacrifice are common at the school and in the game." Can someone replace that with something more sensible, and more importantly, more correct describtion. The school is normal, mostly, those themes are not common there, nor do many people, hardly any, in fact, associate themselves with black arts. The prolog has 3 named girls and in total 2 members of the faculty are activly involved. There is a school, there is a rumor about a coven, that coven mysteriously vanished, since then the storeroom is locked. That's the setting. Minami gets the key by chance, goes into the room, finds a black magic book, and stuff is starting to hit the fan. That's the plot. I'm just unable to put that into something that doesn't sound as if the point is missing. What the content of the game got to do with the setting is beyond me. So I take the liberty to remove the 2 sentences before someone actually believes it and hope someone will append something sensible.84.170.125.107 (talk) 07:01, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

Teletoon airing
[edit]@BigOnAnime: I've been looking at your edits on this page, and among others you've been repeatedly adding the line "The series was also involved in a bit of minor controversy when it was aired as a "midnight movie" at a time when other anime films were being played on youth station Teletoon, supposedly as an accident of nobody checking what was screened." over the years. Do you have any sources for this information? ~Cherri of Arctic Circle System (talk) 05:45, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
