I Have A Question Right?
[edit]Now about the tracklistings. Like, how can A.G.M. and some of the others be on the original album when in the re-release it mentions that they are from the Bootleg album?
Answer that and stay fashionable I Am Muslim 11:10, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
- I have all the albums at home - I will post a correct track listing ASAP
And if you hadn't got drunk at the signing, it would have been a different matter --160.9.41.52 15:00, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
"Requiem for a Typewriter" ?
[edit]Amazon has just informed me that Bad News apparently have released a new CD, "Requiem for a Typewrite" (I kid you not).
Anybody have any more information on this? Is this the original band, or is this some name coincidence?

- There appears to be an Italian band by the same name which is more into punk. Anybody care to investigate? --Syzygy (talk) 09:51, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Who played the instruments??
[edit]Who actually played the instruments on the studio records?. Was it the actors themselves on everything?. This article implies this is so, as it doesnt list other musicians, can someone confirm?. Metafis (talk) 01:17, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- I was led to believe that Brian May recorded some parts. Adrian Edmondson did actually perform I believe. White43 (talk) 15:27, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Someone must have played drums and bass though and the other guitar parts , it would be nice to find out exactly who played on them. And also a list of other musicians(if any) apart from the actors. 86.178.164.4 (talk) 05:15, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- The credits on Allmusic for the Bad News album simply list the band members. To be fair, Edmondson was more than capable of playing guitar and singing (see The Bad Shepherds). Probably the rest was supplied by session musicians - not that unusual an occurrence for many 'recording artists' in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Frankly, it might be hard to pin down individual names, although anyone is welcome to try. Ultimately it was an example of parody and comedy rather than musicianship, although Brian May may well have contributed a great deal. Although, Wikipedia:Verifiability is a key editing requirement.
- This [[1]] suggests that they played themselves.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.75.158.72 (talk) 20:26, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

– The band does not qualify as the primary topic for this term. It is not uniquely or overwhelmingly associated with the name "Bad News", and the article for the television episode Bad News (How I Met Your Mother) receives 2 to 3 times more visits. The band article should be disambiguated and the disambiguation page Bad news moved to the capitalized title, which matches all the uses on the page. ShelfSkewed Talk 16:59, 7 March 2013 (UTC)
- Support/neutral The band should be renamed, I don't see any particular need to rename the disambiguation page, the capitalized form can just redirect to the current dab location. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 04:48, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
- Support- "bad news" is too common to associate with the band. --George Ho (talk) 09:00, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
- Support substantially lowers the level of ambiguity in the title. -- Ohconfucius ping / poke 02:52, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
