Photos from BroNYCon

[edit]

If anyone has (and owns the rights to) some quality photos of her from the BroNYCon on January 7, 2012, please upload them to Wikimedia for use in this article. Thanks! dogman15 (talk) 01:18, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Picture

[edit]

the picture that is in use is not her. Please correct it. 107.22.100.154 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:01, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rainbow Rocks shorts

[edit]

Is it really necessary to link the shorts separately? They don't have their own article, and My Little Pony: Equestria Girls - Rainbow Rocks is linked already. Anon126 (notify me of responses! / talk / contribs) 03:26, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I am wondering about the link to #TweetIt. I'm not sure if it's the most intuitive (refer to WP:EGG), and I think it should have its own article first. Anon126 (notify me of responses! / talk / contribs) 03:45, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 11 April 2015

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Article about the voice actress moved to Ashleigh Ball. DAB formerly at the title with disambiguator now moved to Ashleigh Ball (disambiguation) (where it has been CSD'ed per G6), and hatnotes added to both articles. ☺ · Salvidrim! ·  17:16, 22 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ashleigh Ball (voice actress) → ? – Apparently, Ashleigh Ball's singing career predates her voice acting career as Hey Ocean!'s first EP, Triceratops, was released in 2004. (Actually, I don't know which career was started first, though.) So, what should we do? Should (voice actress) be changed to (singer) or (musician), or, since both are her prominent careers now, should it be (entertainer)? JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 16:30, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Since this Ashleigh Ball has 42 times the page views of the only other Ashleigh Ball (20639 vs. 488 over the last 90 days, or 97.7 percent of all page views for people named "Ashleigh Ball") and even the disambiguation page gets nearly four times the page views of the other Ashleigh Ball (1880 vs. 488), it's clear which Ashleigh Ball readers are looking for. Furthermore, looking at the "staying power" in the public consciousness of others in their occupations (actress and musician vs. Olympic lacrosse player), we should expect that gap to do nothing but grow. Therefore, I suggest Ashleigh Ball, with the current page there moved to the "(disambiguation)" title. Egsan Bacon (talk) 22:11, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
All right. But since the disambiguation page has only two people, I think it should be removed. Let's wait until another notable woman of the same name surfaces to create the page again. JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 05:58, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the move to Ashleigh Ball. This can be done like Steven Blum's page with the "for other people named" hatnote -AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:43, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Support move to Ashleigh Ball All the reasons stated above. Luthien22 (talk) 21:35, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Support Ashleigh Ball, as this Ashleigh Ball seems to be the primary topic for this name. Also, as there are only two articles under this name, I would suggest getting rid of the disambiguation page and going for a hatnote. Interviews

[edit]

I want to cite the following interviews. Can any of you help me by summarising them?

JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 15:16, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

2007 interview - a bit about the formation of the band about 3 minutes in. Pirate Party is a local event so I'm not sure how much encyclopedic value that it has. But you should go ahead and watch the videos. Take some notes, and see where it can be applied to the Hey Ocean article. If Ashleigh Ball is giving a bunch of information about herself then you could consider that for this article AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:50, 26 April 2015 (UTC) updated 16:59, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Personal life section

[edit]

I noticed a "Personal Life" section was added to mention her marital status, referencing the subject's social media account. I don't dispute the accuracy, but I don't believe it is widely known information. (Otherwise, there would be more direct references and/or secondary sources.) In the interests of the subject's privacy, should the section be included?

In particular, is listing the full name of the spouse appropriate (who is not otherwise notable, to my knowledge)? From the references given, the full name was not listed by the subject herself; if nothing else, this might be WP:OR.

Personally, I'm undecided. I do think the point deserves discussion. Arzg (talk) 03:05, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
