Can you still play World Cups and ICC trophy tournaments? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.107.26.79 (talk) 12:35, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

US release?

[edit]

The game is available on Steam here. Is this a good enough source? Don't see a mention of the US on the game's own site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Theclaw1 (talkcontribs) 10:27, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reception

[edit]

"The game has widely been praised for it's improved balance between batting and bowling. Most negative comments have centred around the visual and animation quality."

Who writes this totally unsourced rubbish? Actually take the time to read the comments on some of the fansites. 78.105.235.36 (talk) 23:54, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed this until citations are found:

"However, the Wii version has been criticised for poor gameplay and for being extremely repetitive and boring.

The game has widely been praised for it's improved balance between batting and bowling. Most negative comments have centered around the comparatively dated visuals and some gameplay bugs. Many people have criticized the unrealistic runouts and the line and length of deliveries.

The general consensus garnered from viewing popular forums discussing this game however is more negative than positive. Many people believe once an initial transition of trial and error has occured the game becomes very simple, sympathetically this has been blamed on the relatively small budget and the percieved difficulty in simulating a game of cricket realistically, compared to other sports."

More subjective junk without references. Turaleon (talk) 18:32, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Patch

[edit]

Removed patch section because it cited no sources at all:

"Recently a codemaster's representative was said to have given a tiny sliver of hope to patrons of the game, with rumours circulating codemasters wishes to shed the image of a 'take the money and run' company, the team have supposedly been working long hours testing a new 'realistic' difficulty setting on the 50 over format."

Removed the Other Notes section, not particularly relevent.

[edit]

No one really cares that some player bowls 2 types of deliveries in real life, but the game only lists him as bowling one type. Removed it as it didn't add anything to the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.64.18.251 (talk) 01:15, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
