Talk:Arkane Studios

[edit]Prey 2 was taken from Arkane Austin and handed to Arkane Lyon to convert into some System Shock 3/spiritual successor. I haven't heard much since, other than Arkane Austin is being expanded this year. NO! YOU do the Google Fu! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.101.84.17 (talk) 07:00, 3 October 2014 (UTC)

Foundation date.
[edit]Going by this(scroll below)
https://www.linkedin.com/company/zenimax/
and this
https://twitter.com/yulo_tomorrow/status/1179388634782425095 Arkane was founded on October 2. Guess it's fair to update? Timur9008 (talk) 22:12, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
- Timur9008, IIRC the company was founded on Oct.1, though I wouldn't know where I read this. The Twitter post is from a third party so not reliable, and might have been published. The LinkedIn article only says "2 weeks ago", which might be anything between Sep.30 and Oct.6. Any chance you have a somewhat reliable source for this that has the exact date? The company was incorporated on Oct.12, 1999. Lordtobi (✉) 19:34, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
- well there is this https://twitter.com/DBakaba/status/1179128349945454592 Dinga Bakaba mentions this himself(also retweeted by ZeniMax Careers).(October 1 date). Otherwise no, I don't have a different source. Best to just leave it as it is. Timur9008 (talk) 22:46, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
- Let me check the archives... Lordtobi (✉) 19:53, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
- Found two separate dead sources (one primary, one from IGN) that say October 1. I think this should suffice, so I added it to the article. Worth noting that there were apparently eleven founders, I wonder whether we will ever learn all of their names. Lordtobi (✉) 19:59, 20 October 2019 (UTC)

Noclip documentary soon
[edit]Noclip has stated they will be putting a history of Arkane studios soon (this week), something to keep eyes out for. --Masem (t) 18:12, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
- Here it is. Axem Titanium (talk) 06:55, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Masem i've read somewhere that Arkane employs 150 people now. Is that true? I haven't watched the documentary fully, so i apologize in advance.Timur9008 (talk) 13:20, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
