PS4

[edit]

Why does it say there's a PS4 Platform but there really isn't one available for the PS4? I've checked... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.218.115.122 (talk) 01:58, Today (UTC+10)

@173.218.115.122: The game is scheduled for release in Q4 2016; PlayStation 4 does not have an early access version of the game, unlike PC, Mac, Linux, and Xbox One. – Rhain 23:28, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You can buy the game on PS4 download only Zxexx (talk) 23:56, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Efecto Studios

[edit]

Strangely enough, when I run AWB's Regex on this page, it seems to correct Efecto Studios to "Effecto Studios". Can someone please confirm if this is the case before I make this change inadvertently? jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 19:23, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Jd22292: It is definitely Efecto. – Rhain 22:28, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Rhain: Despite it producing a red link, I've decided instead to make it a wikilink. It seems AWB does not make typo fixes on wikilinks according to its instruction manual. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 07:09, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Updating reference 23

[edit]

The reference for the mcvuk article has an out-of-date link. Here's the new version. http://www.mcvuk.com/articles/console/ark-survival-evolved-hits-5.5m-on-pc-and-xbox-one CorruptSnowflake (talk) 03:35, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ark Mobile

[edit]

On the ARK Wiki page it says that ark is not yet released on mobile, but I have it downloaded and installed as of now... it’s out Aredstone9955 (talk) 22:33, 7 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You guys help me with symptoms of my art because I can't tame the frog some reason I've been taking it says I contain but it's not letting me tame i 2600:6C4C:7BF0:7F0:598:16F6:1933:970C (talk) 20:10, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I’m curious. Is there any chance the creator of this article could provide a list of mobs in this game, organized by DLC so that people can know what they can expect when they buy the game? This would help so that people aren’t disappointed when they see that some of the mobs they wanted aren’t available from DLC only. Antman2002 (talk) 20:31, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ARK: SOTF

[edit]

Qylux (talk) 20:03, 12 November 2019 (UTC)Qylux ARK: SOTF is not a gamemode, I think we should dedicate an entire section to it since it is an actual game[reply]

Reception update

[edit]

Qylux (talk) 16:20, 20 November 2019 (UTC) We should update the reception section, because ARK now gets "Very Positive" and "Mostly Positive" reviews now.[reply]

Pour Snow Sorry, new to wiki. Happy to update later with updated review status but we should keep the negative history in there as we all know what "mostly positive" means when it comes to Ark!

Arks/Maps

[edit]

Started a stub for adding additional information about maps. I want to expand further but I'm not putting words together too well right now. I'll hopefully be able to add more later.

Would love to add sub sections for each map, touching on parts of the lore behind the map and explaining the environment. This isn't Fandom though; no need to go crazy with the lore. Prefer if we focus on describing the aspects which differentiate them and the content introduced with each one.

If anyone has better Google-Fu than me, would also like to add the patch note for each DLC release. This can be useful when tracing issues through SteamDB so that we know who and what to blame when things like this occur: https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/6858719/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pour Snow (talkcontribs) 23:53, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Pour Snow: Welcome to Wikipedia! Unfortunately, the list of maps that you added violates WP:VGSCOPE (especially #7). If you believe the addition of maps is vital information for readers, perhaps reconsider adding some of this information to prose using reliable, secondary sources. – Rhain 00:08, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Rhain: Thanks for pointing that out. I wouldn't feel comfortable combining the additional information into the prose under Expansions, nor would i feel comfortable elaborating upon what's already listed to include a complete overview of the expansions released. Will leave it to the pros. Cheers. Pour Snow (talk) 00:48, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Pour Snow: If you feel uncomfortable doing so on the public article, feel free to experiment using your sandbox and drop a message here asking for feedback/advice. Wikipedia is a collaboration—your work is invaluable, no matter how new you may be. Happy editing! – Rhain 01:00, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think the DLC maps actually do have some degree of notablility as these are almost new games in themselves, sort of. Patch notes? Oh hell no. That doesnt belong here. Duckmonster (talk) 13:11, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ark2 is not Ark Survival Ascended, and that's not what the article that was referenced says. "Additionally, the upcoming release of the Unreal Engine 5 update for ARK: Survival Evolved, expected to launch at the end of August 2023, is another factor contributing to the delay. After the update, the game will be sold under a new name, ARK: Survival Ascended."

Ark survival evolved is changing to Survival Ascended. Ark2 is still Ark2. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.10.156.58 (talk) 13:10, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
