[edit]Was the reason that a toy was never produced originally due to the fact that her transformation was essentially impossible (I'm not an expert, but it seems, from the look of her, that her robot form is totally the wrong shape to become the car) to implement? (Darien Shields 21:14, 14 October 2005 (UTC))
Bottom line from the 1980's: Girls don't play with "Action" figures and boys don't play with dolls.
- Um, what about Scarlett or Lady Jaye from GI Joe? Your arguement lacks the fact that Arcee is a female action figure and those were ok. Well, to me anyway. DonMEGĂ|60645 16:16, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
- It's not his argument, it was Hasbros, take it up with them. As for me I agree, they should have made an Arcee toy --The Matrix Prime 04:51, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Contested parts
[edit]- "Only Human". This isn't critically important to the character, and the image is unnecessary.
- A.R.C. This isn't notable. Fans make up toys all the time.
- Please use {{-}} instead of <BR CLEAR="ALL">. Interrobamf 16:29, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- I think only human is important to Arcee because it's one episode where she was highlighted, and the only other form she possessed. It's worth one sentence and a picture.
- Instead of a picture and a sentence, I just add the link to the A.R.C. page in the references? It is an actual COMPANY and you can purchase the toy, even if it's an unauthorized third party toy.
- I can use the {{-}}, thanks for the suggestion.user:mathewignash
Fair use rationale for Image:Autobot logo s.jpg
[edit]Image:Autobot logo s.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. So does she survive in the film or not?
[edit]In the film at least two of the motorcycles get blasted, but its not confirmed if they get killed/destroyed, a motocycles is seen at theend, but not confirmed if its Arcee, and its not really discussed in the movie as to whether they are one being or three seperate ones, I think they are merely referred to as the Arcee twins, but Bay claims her kills her off in the film, so its not really clear as to whether any of the Arcees survives.
- We are having a very similar conversation on the Revenge of the Fallen main Wikipedia page. I don't know if you're in on that conversation, but you may want to jump in on over there. I think the general consensus is that only two of the three motorcycles were damaged/killed, but because in the movie Arcee is made up of all three motorcycles (unlike the toyline), the one motorcycle that is not seen being damaged or killed guarantees that Arcee survives the movie. She just lost two out of the three bodies that she was using. Bay claimed to have killed her, and there was previous question as to whether he was serious or if it was part of his misinformation campaign. The way I'd argue it, Bay told a partial lie, as Arcee provided several bodies which Bay could use for Autobot casualties, but he doesn't destroy all of them, so Arcee still lives. - Thanks for the answer
I have created this section and requested a third opinion so that the disagreement going on at User talk:AcesUpMaSleeve and User_talk:PegasusHoplite28 can be centralised. \ Backslash Forwardslash / {talk} 13:39, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, I am curious. Can information read from toyline products supersede what actually happens in the movie? I mean, if that's the case, by all means the toyline identifies the three motorcycles individually and should thus be called so. But there is no mention of the three motorcycles being sisters in the movie. The movie never mentions a Chromia or a Moonracer (Elita-One for those who still disagree). All three motorcycles are called Arcee in the movie, so why in the movie plot section are you referencing sisters and Chromia and Moonracer when they are never identified as such in the movie? I am not by any means an expert in Wikipedia's formatting standards, however it would seem to me that the movie would be the definitive work for a few reasons:
- The toys are based upon the characters that exist in the movie, making it a sort of "Original Source"
- The movie is bound by dynamics requiring it to establish a somewhat solid continuity, the toys are not.
- One must observe a burden of importance here, if the two sisters were important, they would have been mentioned in the film (see number one, original source)
- Transformer toys have a history of contradictory appearence, story-telling information, et cetera on their tags whereas within a single universe what has appeared on a screen has stayed consistent and is what a reader is most likely to identify with.
- Toy tags often include qualities exaggerated beyond what is demonstrated, whereas the user of the toy's imagination can fill in the rest. The movie meanwhile sets a standard for itself that it must ashere to.
Thus in my humble opinion the movie would have to trump what is mentioned on the toys. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.28.229.162 (talk) 04:08, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
This page is for Arcee as a character on a whole, not just in one film. All versions of her character should be mentioned. In the section for the film, we mention how the film portrayed her. In the section on the toy, we mention how it portrayed her. On the section for the comic, we mention how it portrayed her. Simple as that. No one source trumps the other if they are all official material. Mathewignash (talk) 12:02, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Relevance?
[edit]"Even though Arcee wasn't in the movie, a motorcycle was used by Captain William Lennox to attack Blackout (although the bike was an Aprilia RSV 1000 R rather than a Buell). " So a guy rides a motorcycle in the first movie. What does that have to do with Arcee? 129.139.1.68 (talk) 19:27, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Arcee was slated to appear in the film as an Aprillia RSV 1000 R motorcycle but cut her due to not being able to explain her gender and replaced her with Ironhide I think in the 2nd film her gender was ignored and they just placed her in the script The Movie Master 1 (talk) 02:58, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
- Doesn't really answer the question. Coulda, shoulda, woulda.129.139.1.68 (talk) 15:54, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
RC?
[edit]I am wondering, even though it is spelled Arcee, I think that the way the name sounds like letters can't be ignored. Is there ever any clue for what might have inspired that? Like Remote Control? DB (talk) 20:44, 18 April 2011 (UTC)
Merge?
[edit]Since most headmasters like Fortress Maximus or Scorponok have one article about the head and the transformer transector, shouldn't Daniel Witwicky (who becomes Arcee's head) be merged with Arcee and Arcee's infobox will be changed to Arcee with Daniel Witwicky?71.255.165.212 (talk) 00:28, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- No, Both Spike and Daniel have articles devoted to them because they were established and notable characters. Most The guys who just got mentions on other articles (Duros, Arcana, etc) are less notable, and are generally not known as anothing other than as the heads for their bodies. On wikialpha.org the little partners do have their own articles, since wikialpha doesn't have wikipedia's notability requirements. Mathewignash (talk) 02:33, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

Adding to G1 Toys section the SS86 figure
[edit]I know it hasn’t been released yet but should the Generations - Studio Series: 86 Arcee figure be added to G1 toy section? Or how does that work? 0Detail-Attention215 (talk) 14:22, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
