Infobox
- The release date of Amiibo Tap seems to be different in Japan, North America/Europe, and Australia: [1] I saw a date of May 1 in another source for the AUS date of May 1, but I can't find an actual RS. Either way, make sure to add this info to the infobox, lead, and body.
- It looks like it came out a week earlier than this, according to Famitsu. This source is reliable so I will use this date.
Lead
- "It released April 30, 2015" -> "It released on April 23, 2015 in Japan and on April 30 in North America and Europe".
- Fixed
- There seems to be inconsistent use of "was" and "is". I understand that the "game" is discontinued, but if one has it downloaded, does it still function?
- I realized this halfway through my overhaul, so there may be inconsistencies that I missed when I went back. When Super Mario Bros. 35 was discontinued this was discussed by WP:VG somewhere and it was decided that we should use "was" for these discontinued games.
- The lead refers to it interchangeably as a game and an application.
- I asked WT:VG which one I should use, and for now I switched it all to application.
Announcement and release
- "Various other new Amiibo products were also announced in the Nintendo Direct, based on characters from Yoshi's Woolly World, Splatoon, and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U." The source doesn't seem to suggest that this is tied into Amiibo Tap; rather, the source seems to be covering the Direct, which had multiple Amiibo announcements. I would suggest either removing or finding a citation that directly ties the two.
- I guess I included this because of the implied tie between them, that being "all of these other amiibos announced will work with this game", but I favor your interpretation and have removed this sentence.
Reception
- It might be worth mentioning Nintendo Life's initial impressions of the idea.

- Make sure to use a specific rationale for the screenshot
- Is there a reason to use a specific rationale that the "Non-free use rationale video game screenshot" template doesn't do?
- Nope. It's not a failing issue by any means, I just think it's better to clarify what the exact intent is. Granted, it'll never be FA, but it doesn't hurt to specify, say, that it shows how the UI looks, right?
