Orphaned references in 1992 Pacific typhoon season

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 1992 Pacific typhoon season's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "jtwc":

  • From Tropical cyclone: George M. Dunnavan & John W. Dierks (1980). "An Analysis of Super Typhoon Tip (October 1979)" (PDF). Joint Typhoon Warning Center. Retrieved 2007-01-24.[dead link]
  • From Hurricane Ekeka (1992): Mundell (1993). "Tropical Storm Ekeka (01C)" (PDF). Joint Typhoon Warning Center. Retrieved 2008-09-20.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 15:31, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

1992 PAGASA typhoons confirmed?

[edit]

Should've left this message about a year ago but... Are the 1992 Philippine typhoon names confirmed? Well, when I had a closer look at this page last year, I noticed that both Typhoons Elsie and Gay entered the PAR but according to their section, they do not have a PAGASA name. So I decided to put Elsie as Reming and Gay as Seniang for now. Sorry I don't have a source but according to their track maps, they did enter the PAR. Another extremely late comment that should've been done years ago. This confirms Gay (Seniang) and BT track map from Elsie states that it had briefly entered PAR. Used the same source as reasonings of my edit(s) few years ago regarding the 1991 PAGASA storms. Typhoon2013 (talk) 05:31, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
