Defense mode
[edit]There is no defense "mode" on the NES. This article is wrong.
Nope, that's correct. The Famicom version is like the arcade in that the player is on offense only. However, the NES version has you playing a full football game, such as it is. Brideck 19:37, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
I recently got this game, and I can confirm that this game has a defense mode.
What's with the * after the logo?

2-player mode is whack
[edit]One thing that might be interesting to note, though I don't know if there are sources to back it up: On the NES game, if you play a 2-player game, the 2nd player retains the AI cheat, which is that it is MUCH easier to shake off tacklers. As a kid I played this game with someone all the time, and I liked being blue and my friend liked being red and that's how we always played. Years later, having grown out of the childish insistence on which team to play, we played the game for nostalgia with the teams switched, only for me to discover how much easier the game was as the red player. We tested this repeatedly and discovered that the red player can break tackles almost instantly, and the blue player almost always has to use a flying tackle to put the red player down. I forgot whether or not the red player also runs faster, but that was another possibility that we tested. Ham Pastrami (talk) 01:37, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Published by Nintendo?
[edit]Wasn't the NES version of 10-yard Fight published by Nintendo? Judging from my hasty research, that's what many sites say. MuZemike (talk) 18:27, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Running Backs
[edit]There is only one running back in the game not two as mentioned in the article. I'm going to change this. It can be verified here: nintendo8.com/game/366/10-yard_fight/ 175.138.111.243 (talk) 12:16, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
