Peru–United Arab Emirates relations are the bilateral relations between Peru and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Both countries are members of the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement.
History

Both countries established relations on June 17, 1986.[1][2] In 2011, Peru opened a consulate general and a commercial office in Dubai. The city is also home to a sizeable Peruvian community, the largest in an Arab country, and hosts the most Peruvian restaurants in the Middle East.[3] In March 2016, the UAE opened an embassy in Lima.[4][5]

Trade
[edit]The UAE is Peru's first commercial partner in the Arab world. In 2020, trade between both countries was valued at US$ 530 million.[2] Peru is the UAE's second destination in South America for investments.[5]
Travel
[edit]In 2023, both countries signed a travel agreement so that Emirates starts operating direct flights to Lima.[10]
