Lakmali Kanchana Hemachandra is a Sri Lankan politician and a member of the National People's Power. she was appointed as a Member of Parliament for National List in 2024 Sri Lankan parliamentary election as a member of the National People's Power.[1][2][3] She is a lawyer by profession and is an executive member of NPP Lawyers association in Colombo District.[4][5][6][7] She also worked as the Deputy Chairwoman of the Director Board of Dabindu Collective, a non-profit organization located in the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) of Katunayake, that is concerned about the protection and promotion of women worker rights.[8]
