Appearance
uhhhhhh
[edit]This does not appear to be a Final Fantasy 7 screenshot. From the aspect ratio of the text, to the 3D space being rendered beyond the UI windows, it's clear to anybody who has played FF7 that this is a mere representation of FF7 made in Photoshop and not an actual screenshot.
I figured in the 16 years (17 next month) since the file was uploaded, somebody woulda brought this up by now... 675930s (talk) 17:24, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- @675930s: If this is the case, please upload a better screenshot, and replace this image with that one. Z1720 (talk) 18:59, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- What's the Wikipedia policy. Can I provide my own screenshot or does it have to be from an existing source 675930s (talk) 10:25, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
- @675930s: You can provide your own screenshot, so long as you attach the appropriate tags. I uploaded a screenshot from a video game at File:The Legend of Dragoon Addition Attack.jpg that I captured on YouTube; a screenshot from FFVII would probably use the same tags. - I have uploaded an authentic screenshot of the same scene here, I produced it in the highly accurate DuckStation emulator using the software renderer, which should result in 1:1 pixel accuracy with a PlayStation console's output: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:FFVIIbattlexample.png (alternative link, I am confused as to whether to upload here or commons: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:FFVIIbattleexample.png) 675930s (talk) 12:20, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
