[edit]Primary contention of notability is the storied development history and long-term success. If this draft does not materialize into a distinct entity from the history of the Spring/Recoil engine, I will suggest merging some additional details into the BAR section of Spring Engine and review this page after some further time has passed.
I am asking anyone who can to please add to this talk page with notable parts of the history of the project. Formatting, grammar and spelling can be handled by myself. Please do not pad it out with general info, although very specific and notable bullet points will be excellent additions.
For example:
- As a whole, the graphical updates to the rendering pipeline and overall look and feel changes were a signifcant milestone in the development process. A
- Finalized gameplay & highly polished assets with a de-facto release in all but name, date the timeframe of the major release and explain how it was a major material depature from the existing Spring engine games
- Explain the interwoven nature of BAR development and its role in propelling the Spring engine development, with the phenomenon of attention -> volunteer devs -> more dev work -> attention loop hitting critical mass. It would be helpful to try and identify key turning points.
- Related to the above point, a timeline with data sources would be helpful to illustrate the long running scope of the project.
