West Cabarrus High School.[1] [2]is a public high school in Concord, North Carolina.
Background
[edit]In 2020, West Cabarrus High School became the 8th traditional High School in Cabarrus County, NC. Site grading began in the fall of 2017[3], on 108 acers[4] off Weddington Rd. After over 70 submissions on a possible name, the Cabarrus County School Board decided to go with the directional name of West[5]. Towards the end of the 2018-2019 school year, it was announced that the school mascot would be the Wolverines.[6]

[edit]West Cabarrus is home to a STEM Academy of Aviation and Aerospace[7]. West is the school district’s first three-story structure[8]. The school also has a 4,000-seat stadium, 720-seat auditorium, and a 1,280-seat spectator gym[9]
