RJ Skillets is a Mexican restaurant in Portland, Oregon.
Description
[edit]The Mexican restaurant RK Skillets operates on Alberta Street in northeast Portland's Concordia neighborhood, and specializes in Oaxacan cuisine.[2] The menu includes chilaquiles, chorizo omelets, brisket and mole enchiladas, tostadas,[3] and pancakes. The kids' menu includes a small breakfast burrito and French toast.[4] The restaurant also serves chimichangas, fajitas, and churros.[1]
Reception
[edit]In 2023, RJ Skillets ranked fourth in Yelp's list of the top fifty restaurants in the Portland metropolitan area.[5] The business was also among the top seven brunch restaurants in the area in 2023, based on Yelp ratings and reviews,[6] and ranked number 74 in the website's 2024 list of the 100 best brunch restaurants in the U.S.[3] In 2024, Brooke Jackson-Glidden and other writers included the business in Eater Portland's overview of recommended eateries on Alberta Street,[1] and the website also included the business in a list of the city's best breakfasts.[4]
