Helen Bernhard Bakery is a bakery in Portland, Oregon. It was established in 1924.
Description
[edit]Helen Bernhard Bakery operates in a converted house at the intersection of 17th and Broadway,[1][2] in northeast Portland's Irvington neighborhood. The bakery has served apple fritters,[3] cinnamon rolls, muffins,[4] cakes and cake doughnuts, sugar cookies,[5] sourdough,[6] and other pastries.[7] The bakery has sold king cake for Mardi Gras,[8] pumpkin cake for Halloween,[9] and decorated sugar shortbread cookies during the holiday season.[10]
History
[edit]The bakery was established in 1924.[11][12] Mike and Kellie Snaadt owned the business in 2020.[13]
