The 1945 Minneapolis mayoral election was held on June 11, 1945 to elect the Mayor of Minneapolis. Humphrey was re-elected in the 1947 Minneapolis mayoral election but would resign after winning the 1948 United States Senate election in Minnesota with Eric G. Hoyer serving the rest of his term as acting mayor.
