The 2006 Alabama Senate election was held on November 7, 2006. Voters in all 35 districts of the Alabama Senate voted for their Senators. The Democratic Party retained their majority in the Senate, losing 2 seats to the Republican Party. As of 2022, this is the last time that the Democratic Party has held a majority in the Alabama Senate.
