The 1835 New Jersey gubernatorial election was held on 30 October 1835 in order to elect the governor of New Jersey. Incumbent Democratic governor Peter Dumont Vroom was re-elected by the New Jersey General Assembly as he ran unopposed.[1]
General election
[edit]On election day, 30 October 1835, incumbent Democratic governor Peter Dumont Vroom was re-elected by the New Jersey General Assembly as he ran unopposed, thereby retaining Democratic control over the office of governor. Vroom was sworn in for his sixth overall term that same day.[2]
