Zagros District (Persian: بخش زاگرس) is in Chardavol County, Ilam province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Balavah.[3]

History

After the 2011 National Census, Bijnavand Rural District was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Zagros District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Qaleh Rural District. The village of Balavah was elevated to the status of a city.[3]

At the time of the 2016 census, the district's population was 6,395 inhabitants in 1,796 households.[2]
