Esilda Villa

[edit]

I am posting this here in the event project page stalkers might be able to help. I really wanted to write her story for lawyer's month. But she is not on WP.es and what I find is tantalizing, but insufficient documentation. This says she passed her legal exams in November 1928.[1] This says she was denied a license to practice because she had not completed the mandatory military service.[2] This says she became Bolivia's first woman lawyer on 22 January 1938.[3] Did it really take her ten years? She was involved in the First Feminist Congress in Bolivia as well.[4] There is a biography, [5] in the archives of La Paz. Anyone want to collaborate on her bio? Please ping me. Thanks! RfC on election/referendum naming format

[edit]

An RfC on moving the year from the end to the start of article titles (e.g. South African general election, 2019 to 2019 South African general election) has been reopened for further comment, including on whether a bot could be used move the articles if it closed in favour of the change: Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (government and legislation)#Proposed change to election/referendum naming format. Hardeman, Bolivia

[edit]

Formation of Hardeman

The Flood of 1968 in a zone of northern Santa Cruz, Bolivia, caused displacement of many people living on small farms. Many of these refugees were sheltered in schools in Montero. The refugees eventually were given land in El Bosque del Niño Perdido, and formed the Colonia Hardeman.

Content suggestions on Bolivia main page

[edit]

There is currently a discussion as a result of content reversals which lacks participants and unfortunately is not very content-specific.
Would be nice to see some (more) opinions concerning the reversed suggestions.

Colorado Lake Proposed Delete by Redirect to Laguna Colorada

[edit]

The Colorado Lake is a minimal stub and has a number of errors (e.g. wrong department). The full page on the Lake/Laguna is Laguna Colorada so I'd suggest turning Colorado Lake into a redirect. Mentioned on the talk page for Colorado Lake. Unsure about how one starts a discussion for consensus. PsamatheM (talk) 19:36, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Following discussion with no objections Colorado Lank now "deleted by redirect" following merge into Laguna Colorada PsamatheM (talk) 12:26, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Jeanine Anez

[edit]

Which is it? was Jeanine Anez the 66th president of Bolivia? or just an acting president. GoodDay (talk) 16:19, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Starting this July, we will see a new contest on the scene - the Developing Countries WikiContest (WP:DCWC)! Think of it as a WikiCup but only for articles and media on developing countries.

Competitors may submit GAs, GTs, FAs, FTs, FLs, FPs, and DYK and ITN entries from/on developing countries to gain points and proceed to further rounds. Points are also awarded to those who review GAs, FAs and FLs.

Bolivia is listed as a developing country for the purposes of this contest, so articles related to it are eligible to be submitted to the contest. I encourage everyone here to sign up and compete with editors from around the world to create high-quality content!

Append your name to the DCWC signup page today!

Women in Green's October 2024 edit-a-thon

[edit]

Hello WikiProject Bolivia:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2024!

Running from October 1 to 31, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!
