Feedback needed for a page I've created

Hi everyone,

Here is a page I've created recently: Buddhism and artificial intelligence

I'm a student at the University of Edinburgh. I've created this page and am editing it for my school project. Would love some feedback on this. Specifically, please show me how to improve its styles to match with Wikipedia's convention since the tag says it needs copy-editing. Thank you very much! Jlkzhou (talk) 17:00, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

Helping out

Here's some stuff I wrote recently. The second one needs better samples though...

I'm working on a draft:Darknet_(Neural_Networks) about an AI program, though I do not know if it is a "stand alone" article, or if it should be mearged, somehow, into OpenCV seeing it shows a link about darknet as a supported framework for OpenCV program. Though this program also works without OpenCV. Maybe this could also be a sample about floss AI detection? Other Cody (talk) 19:15, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

Anyone willing to write Regularization (machine learning) article?

The Regularization (mathematics) article, where this currently redirects, is out of date as regards to quickly developing ML techniques, and readers interested in mathematics have been complaining for years now that it is "strongly biased toward machine learning". The solution is obvious: separating the topic into a new article. Convolutional neural network#Regularization methods section seems like a good start, though I'm no expert in the field. Ain92 (talk) 10:31, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

There is a Darknet_(Neural_Networks draft I was working on, though it is about a program, and not focusing on Regularization (machine learning) in general. Though if the submission is accepted it could also have a list of things that have been done with that program. I'm also not an expert in that field. Artificial_intelligence or Recurrent_neural_network may also be something you are looking for.Other Cody (talk) 00:33, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

Draft:4 Types of Artificial Intelligence

These is currently a draft, Draft:4 Types of Artificial Intelligence, awaiting assessment at AfC. It would seem that it is highly unlikely that this information is not already covered by an existing article. However I am not familiar with the field to make that determinations so I would appreciate someone with the expertise in the area to make that call. Thanks. Created a draft for CTO, Chairman, and President of OpenAI, Greg Brockman

Hi everyone! I would love help developing my recent draft for Greg Brockman! There are a significant number of reliable sources that cover him directly, so feel free to add any information that you think would help improve the page! Thanks! Ajshul<talk> 16:01, 17 March 2023 (UTC)

Project-independent quality assessments

Quality assessments are used by Wikipedia editors to rate the quality of articles in terms of completeness, organization, prose quality, sourcing, etc. Most wikiprojects follow the general guidelines at Wikipedia:Content assessment, but some have specialized assessment guidelines. A recent Village pump proposal was approved and has been implemented to add a |class= parameter to {{WikiProject banner shell}}, which can display a general quality assessment for an article, and to let project banner templates "inherit" this assessment.

No action is required if your wikiproject follows the standard assessment approach. Over time, quality assessments will be migrated up to {{WikiProject banner shell}}, and your project banner will automatically "inherit" any changes to the general assessments for the purpose of assigning categories.

However, if your project decides to "opt out" and follow a non-standard quality assessment approach, all you have to do is modify your wikiproject banner template to pass {{WPBannerMeta}} a new |QUALITY_CRITERIA=custom parameter. If this is done, changes to the general quality assessment will be ignored, and your project-level assessment will be displayed and used to create categories, as at present. I saw there is a draft for Neural Radiance Fields. It may be of interest to members of this project. Thriley (talk) 14:16, 14 April 2023 (UTC)

Nomination of Stochastic parrot for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Stochastic parrot is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Gatik (autonomous trucking)

Hello! I'm here at this WikiProject seeking an editor that would be willing to review an article I have submitted to Articles for Creation for Gatik, an autonomous trucking company. Here is the submission: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Gatik

Unfortunately, my initial draft was declined, but since then I’ve revised and trimmed some things in the draft to hopefully address their concerns. I’d love some additional eyes on it for thoughts on any other improvements I might be able to make. I have a conflict of interest as I am an employee of Gatik, so I'm seeking out non-COI editors who are willing to provide feedback. If editors have any questions for me I am more than willing to respond. Thank you so much! Miranda at Gatik (talk) 19:01, 5 July 2023 (UTC)

Hi, back here to see if User:Enervation would be willing to take a look at the Gatik draft I shared in the post above, since they've been active on this Talk page previously. If you have any questions about the draft or my conflict of interest as an employee of the company, I'm more than ready to respond. Thank you! Miranda at Gatik (talk) 16:06, 17 July 2023 (UTC)

There are a lot of redlinks on the project page from 2021, like a manual of style for the project, and it looks like no one has created the corresponding pages. Does it make sense to remove them? Enervation (talk) 06:13, 11 July 2023 (UTC)

Any help expanding xAI (company) would be appreciated! Thriley (talk) 22:26, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

I've created a draft page for the 2023 AI Safety Summit

Draft:2023 AI Safety Summit This is my first ever Wikipedia article, so it probably will need improvement. This summit is gaining an incredible amount of media attention and coverage, so I think it warrants an article. PrecariousWorlds (talk) 16:34, 1 November 2023 (UTC)

@PrecariousWorlds: Great job! I reviewed and approved it.
Check what I did with the attendees citations. You had two sources, one to fact-check one attendee, and the other to cover the rest. I matched the one source to everyone who individually had no citation. Remember also, other editors may follow you and add more attendees from other sources, so for these kinds of things, better to use a source for each person. Thanks. Bluerasberry (talk) 16:44, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
Got it, I can't thank you enough for helping me with this! PrecariousWorlds (talk) 16:55, 1 November 2023 (UTC)

There's a new page on Representational harm, but it seems to overlap with content elsewhere. Views as to its suitability as a stand-alone page would be appreciated over on its talk page. Klbrain (talk) 08:51, 4 March 2024 (UTC)

Note to Major Editors regarding changes made to the Shortcuts

Problem: In the Wikipedia:WikiProject Artificial Intelligence/Assessment, the shortcuts used was WP:Artificial Intelligence\A; and for the main page it was WP:Artificial Intelligence. This is highly confusing and poorly made.

There are three problems with these shortcuts.

Firstly, WP:Artificial Intelligence is not in all CAPS, plus it's too long to be a "shortcut". This is usually discouraged according to Wikipedia:Shortcut. Secondly, the shortcut creates confusion with the page Wikipedia:Artificial intelligence. I think it is more appropriate that the shortcut point to Wikipedia:Artificial intelligence. Lastly, a shortcut should not have slash backslash (\).

Moreover, the shortcut for this page wasn't added to Wikipedia:Shortcut index/Project shortcuts. All these minute roadblocks impact the visibility of this wiki project page and create confusion for readers and (especially) editors.

Solution/Changes: The wiki project already has a redirection from WP:WPAI, which is more pleasant for a shortcut. So I decided to use this, added a proper redirection, and put up the shortcut box on the home page. Moreover, I removed the faulty shortcut from the Assessment page. I have also added the wiki project to this list - Wikipedia:Shortcut index/Project shortcuts. The changes that have been made, including some formatting and modifications to the link, should allow readers to reach this wiki project page efficiently.

This was quite extensive. Many redirections had to be made and few had to be modified.

I am putting this message on the talk page because it could be very likely that a few links or shortcuts that were previously being used might break. Added to this, I think some shortcuts might redirect to a different page, though I haven't come across such a shortcut as I am writing this.

If that's the case, please do let me know, and I'll try to fix it. Aditya-an11 (talk) 12:29, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

Laws regarding ai generated media

In March of this year Tennessee passed the Elvis Act. Making it a crime to copy a musician’s voice without permission. Also there is this.

Yes I know this is all very recent but I do think Wikimedia should be cautious. Because it seems new laws can harm Wikimedia’s usage of ai generated media.CycoMa1 (talk) 19:07, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
