Stuck

Stuck in a loop every time they ask for an edit summary. I write it but can't progress after that. Please help Ali2039 (talk) 20:20, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

Stuck in a loop?

Getting feedback from some new editors using this that it keeps getting stuck in a loop - any ideas? Seems to happen after adding section headings, for example, and not taking users from one mission to another. Also the pop up box appears over the edit summary box in visual editor. Sara Thomas (WMUK) (talk) 10:59, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

The note on the front page says that visual editor does not work with the adventure. Does the adventure include instructions on how to turn off the visual editor so that the VE doesn't interfere with the experience? RudolfRed (talk) 20:42, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

How many badges?

Are users told how many badges they can collect, so they know what to aim at? Is it fifteen, or sixteen? Nick Moyes (talk) 00:24, 23 March 2019 (UTC)

There are 15 badges. See Special:Diff/882195665 for all of them (scroll to the bottom). — Newslinger talk 15:46, 16 August 2019 (UTC)

This tour only uses the source editor?

This tour uses only the source editor.[citation needed]

I think that relevant wikilinks needed in the page for badge. For example the page Wikipedia:TWA/Badge/2 could have a link to WP:MOS for further info. The page is reached when someone clicks the link on the user page about the badge. So adding a link for further reading makes sense. The same can be done for all the other badges. --DBigXray 13:16, 11 December 2019 (UTC)

As explained above I have made 15 requests at this page Kindly support or improve by changing the edit requests. --DBigXray 16:11, 11 December 2019 (UTC)

Please wrap the categorization at the bottom in <noinclude></noinclude>, so that pages, transcluding it are not categorized as well. —andrybak (talk) 18:35, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

 Done — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:59, 26 February 2020 (UTC)

"This tour only uses the source editor. If you use the visual editor or have it enabled it won't work yet." has no wikilinks at all. It would be useful to link the two terms, and link to instructions on how to switch between editors. HLHJ (talk) 18:25, 29 February 2020 (UTC)

Problem with substituting templates

I am trying the Wikipedia adventure just for the fun of it, but I noticed that some of the key words are not substituted properly. They say <includeonly>{{subst:CURRENTDATE}}</includeonly> for example. Can someone, maybe User:Ocaasi, look at it? Thank you. Aasim 22:45, 2 March 2020 (UTC)

@Awesome Aasim:, can you link me to a page (just copy the url) of somewhere that's happening? Thanks for pinging me! Cheers, Jake Ocaasi t | c 23:32, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
Ocaasi Take a look here. The source reads:
==Imagine images!== I checked Commons and I really like these images. Could someone please add them to the article? *File:The Blue Marble.jpg *File:Bachalpseeflowers.jpg *File:Sunset in El Porto, California (8074300769).jpg *File:Polarlicht 2.jpg *File:Red eyed tree frog edit2.jpg *File:Schoolgirls in Bamozai.JPG Thanks zillions !! --[[User:GaiaGirl86|GaiaGirl86]] ([[User talk:GaiaGirl86|talk]]) <includeonly>{{subst:currentdate}}</includeonly> but there should not be an "includeonly" tag on that page. Aasim 23:53, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
@Awesome Aasim: Thanks! I'll take a look. Do you know if this is true also on several other pages? Cheers, Jake Ocaasi t | c 17:46, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
How about here? Aasim 17:08, 6 March 2020 (UTC)

Not working for me

I'm getting messages after trying to answer any 'challenge yourself' question that are squished into a column a few letters wide (Win/Chrome, at 1000px wide). And there's an option to play a file which turns out to be a loud trombone. I had to throw my headphones across the couch... adventure aborted!  :) but would love to come back to it [w/ a newbie in tow] again soon. – SJ + 23:00, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

Help

Hi I'm new and i can'tcheck my stats Bdetfehigj (talk) 03:36, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

Bdetfehigj Welcome. You don't need to dwell on your stats, as you have not yet played The Wikipedia Adventure and have much to learn. Teahouse can tell you about stats.--Quisqualis (talk) 05:21, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Not working

This is not working. CheatCodes4ever (talk) 10:47, 31 December 2019 (UTC)

Yes this is really not working Tanisha priyadarshini (talk) 16:14, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

It's been a few months that we have had people say this is no longer working. Can you explain the problem or take a screenshot? I have the problem on page 4....takes me to the teahouse away from the tutorial. This was at the Village pump a while ago....but most had no problem and the problem that did come up was mobile view based and was an easter egg hunt to find the problem with no outcome.--Moxy 🍁 21:25, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

Definitely not working. Moxy, you asked what was going on. I started the adventure, managed to get to the second page-thing. Then I clicked on mission 1, but it wouldn't load. Any suggestions? Dragonlover21 (talk) 22:40, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

I mean @Moxy Dragonlover21 (talk) 22:43, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Nevermind. I'll summon a different expert. Dragonlover21 (talk) 22:45, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Yamla Dragonlover21 (talk) 22:46, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Nope. Hmm... Perhaps Ian.thomson? Dragonlover21 (talk) 22:49, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Arrrrgh!! Dragonlover21 (talk) 22:51, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

@Dragonlover21:...Perhaps just try Help:Introduction if your looking for a fun time or Wikipedia:Contributing to Wikipedia for article format version.--Moxy 🍁 22:55, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Thank you. Dragonlover21 (talk) 23:05, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

I couldn't do anything but get stuck in the 2nd or 3rd page. Please fix it . Yours sincerely Science Wiki Guy (talk) 14:57, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

I missed this discussion but I stumbled upon a Princeton University researcher being greeted with the template, prominently featuring the Wikipedia Adventure link, in late 2018. Makes us look a bit silly, in my opnion. Soap 23:55, 29 July 2020 (UTC)

How do you play this game?? Eep Crood (talk) 16:02, 16 May 2021 (UTC)

Glitch at userpage

I was in The Wikipedia Adventure then got to the editing userpage step. I made an edit, then I can't get out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hello world 6 (talkcontribs) 00:22, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
