I changed my mind - I am doing a lot of work on the Latin articles and it is not fair to you for me to shirk responsibility knowing some Latin.Dave (talk) 20:23, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the section of the WikiProject that deals with Assessing articles under the scope of our Articles. Its main page and related pages are part of the Department. The main page can be found here.

If the need arises then a Head of the Department of Assessments and Assessing Articles should be created to act as a permanent administrator and 'expert' to the Department.

Assessing articles is an important aspect of a WikiProject because it allows the members to see which articles need improvement. The criteria should be followed closely, so don't be afraid of asking for help!

Milestones

[edit]

  • The 200th article was then reached on the 31st December 2009.

To do

[edit]
  • Remphan, about a Hebrew idol, has only one substantive reference which is a 1741 Latin treatise linked available on Archive.org; somebody more fluent at reading Latin might want to glean substantive points to add to the article.
  • It would be appreciated if a scholar could contribute to this discussion (last on page) about a matter of syntax in a verse of Gaudeamus Igitur. (Apols if this is not the right place to make such a request.) Bjenks (talk) 06:25, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
