Assessment

[edit]

- Featured articles are Wikipedia's best - Make sure the article meets Featured article criteria and nominate at Featured article candidates. A great list or table can become a Featured list. Check out the Featured list criteria and nominate at Featured list candidates. A series of good to featured articles whose content is under a similarly good lead article can become a Featured topic. Be sure that whole series meets Featured topic criteria and nominate at Featured topic candidates.
- A-class articles are getting close to being at least featured article worthy in the opinion of WikiProject Elements participants. If you are uncertain that an article merits this classification, then post a general peer review at Wikipedia:Peer review.
- Good articles are articles that have been reviewed thoroughly and are considered to lack a few issues from being featured - Make sure the article meets Good article criteria and nominate at Wikipedia:Good article nominations
- B-class articles contain most of the important information related to the topic of the article written in a fairly decent fashion.
- C-class articles contain some information related to the topic, and usually lacks an important section (e.g. Compounds) required for the article to be considered acceptable. The information they contain is usually disjoint, poorly written, looking more like it was just dumped there.
- Start-class articles usually contain only a few of the most basic information related to the topic of the article.
- WP:Elements has de-stubbed all of the chemical element and main supporting (groups, periods, and blocks) articles.
