- Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?
The goal of this project is to make its associated articles more comprehensible and better constructed to serve readers with different levels of knowledge.
I believe that this field is particularly challenging for the lay reader. Its newness and the "exotic" nature of many of its experiments and concepts defy easy attempts to understand. Unfortunately, many of the current articles fail to provide enough context and background before presenting the more technical aspects of the subject. These include Observable, Wave function collapse, Superposition, and Uncertainty principle.
This topic deserves a dedicated project. Of the 239 articles of , only about 36 of them concern QM and only about 22 are QM specific. A topic such as EPR paradox is only of mid-importance but would be at least high if not top importance to a QM project.

Discussion
[edit]- As I've said on my talk page (you should really link to this discussion when asking people to comment on the proposal), I don't support this proposal as is. WP:PHYS is a more-than-suitable home for discussions about the improvement of quantum mechanics-related articles.
