The entire first paragraph of the article currently reads as follows:

"In physics, mathematical quantization applies abstract mathematical formulations to describe the process of quantizing classical Hamiltonian and Lagrangian[disambiguation needed] systems, and in particular, quantizing line bundles that are defined on symplectic manifolds. Mathematical quantization uses the modern mathematics techniques of differential geometry to accomplish this task."

Surely there is a more informative way to introduce the reader to the subject of "quantization" than by using the word "quantizing" twice — as though that explains anything. It does not. And that is an excellent reason not to use it, because why else would you say anything at all in the first paragraph of the Wikipedia article except to explain what the subject is, to a reader who may not know?

This becomes even worse when you consider the last two words of the quoted paragraph: "this task". To even use those two words together implies that the writer believes that some task has been referred to.

But it has not.

Thus this poorly written paragraph is not only without any useful information whatsoever. But it is also *dishonest*, because it pretends to have explained something when it has explained nothing whatsoever.

I hope someone knowledgeable about mathematical quantization is able to explain what quantization is for the level of an introductory paragraph.
