Why was this not accepted?
Rasmus1234551 (talk) 08:15, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Rasmus1234551 As noted by the reviewer, this person does not seem to meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable person, as shown with significant coverage in independent reliable sources. Only one source was offered, and if it was rejected, and not just declined, the prospect of finding more seems low. An article must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage choose on their own to say about a person. 331dot (talk) 08:30, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

Regarding the photo of Friedrich Lips, the cover of LIPS CD 005 RUSSIAN AND TREPAK and the file showing the Life Achievement Award for Friedrich Lips I am sorry to tell that I cannot meet your requirements: the photo was done by his son in Moscow some years ago, the graphics of the CD 25 years ago (I am producer and owner of the LIPS CD series), Stars Illustrated Magazine from New York gave me the permission to use the file showing Lips with his Life Achievement Award but how to proof it to you? THEREFORE, please delete these three images and check if you can accept the written article! There are already Wikipedia articles in German, Finnish and Russian languages, means the subject is valuable for Wikipedia! By the way, my English version offers more info about Lips that the versions in other languages. In case you still cannot accept it, please tell exactly what to still improve so that we could finalize the project! Many thanks in advance!

- We are not interested in a rerun of the Seigenthaler incident. Any biographical claim about a living or recently-departed person that can potentially be challenged for any reason what-so-ever MUST be cited to a strong third-party source that corroborates it or (if no such sources can be found) removed wholesale. This is a HARD REQUIREMENT when writing about living or recently-departed people on Wikipedia and is NOT NEGOTIABLE. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Jéské Couriano 00:20, 16 September 2021 (UTC)

I made a draft article weeks ago and it still isn't a fully approved article. I need help in getting the article published. Thank you!
- Cev1038462911 You have submitted it and it is pending. There are over a thousand drafts awaiting review by volunteers, please be patient. 331dot (talk) 09:01, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
09:20:16, 15 September 2021 review of submission by Guillaume195gg
[edit]Dear Reviewers, Being a new member of your wonderful community is exciting! I would like to understand why my submission has been disapproved in order to write a better article in the future, I tried my best to create an article as transparent as possible with links and references attached to it. Sincerely, Guillaume Guillaume195gg (talk) 09:20, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Guillaume195gg First, please review conflict of interest and paid editing for information on formal disclosures you may be required to make. Your draft was declined because it was sourced to nothing other than the organization's website. Wikipedia articles are not for merely telling about the subject. They must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about (in this case) an organization, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of [[WP:ORG}|a notable organization]]. Wikipedia is not interested in what an organization says about itself, only in what others completely unconnected to it choose to say about it(no press releases, the organization website, interviews, brief mentions, or other primary sources). Please see Your First Article. 331dot (talk) 09:32, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I'm having trouble to upload/ display the location map like the one on Pantai Hospital Penang (you may search its Wikipage and see the map on the right side, inside the infobox). I'm searched for the articles in Wikipedia and follow the guideline but it's still cannot be displayed. I need advise on this.
Thank you.
Wcsneel (talk) 09:26, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Wcsneel. {{Infobox hospital}} apparently doesn't automatically display Mapframe maps in the Draft namespace. Whether that is a bug or a feature would need to be discussed at Template talk:Infobox hospital. If you can't get a timely response there, try asking at Wikipedia:WikiProject Hospitals. --Worldbruce (talk) 10:56, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I put a lot of work in my article, especially using references for all statements. Since Peter Szurman is a doctor of international ranking, reliable sources are - to my opinion - also the homepage of his clinic with curriculum e.g.,So I do not understand, why my references and sources have been criticized. Plus: It would help to give an example. I have listed around 20 references - how should I know which one is right, which one not?
Plus, I used expressions, that make it easier to read this text: Conjunctions e.g. Now this was criticized as "not academic". Again without any examples.
This makes it very hard to work on and improve a text, if all you get is general statements. Plus: as a newcomer at Wikipedia, all these programming elements are not easy to apply, especially if you are not a native speaker.
I understood, that Wikipedia is also about relevance - and Peter Szurman is an international renommeed ophthalmologist with outstanding research results. So despite some formal mistakes - it would be a pity if my article about him would not be published because of one reviewer who does not even bother to explain his criticism.
I do need help, improving my article, so it can be published. But I must know WHERE changes are necessary and HOWSaawmed (talk) 14:27, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
Saawmed (talk) 14:27, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- I would start by trimming every single biographical claim you cannot find and do not have a citation for. A skim of the article suggests there are a lot of these, which is a problem. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Jéské Couriano 00:17, 16 September 2021 (UTC)

Please do not reject this this is very ancient and a popular temple below tarai lowlands of himalaya. I request. Due to some reasons there is not enough references sir. You can check on google map about this Shri Janglinath baba mandir Lakhahi Kheri.
Lakhahi village is a native village . You can trust me.
Bygonetime (talk) 15:32, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- If there are not enough references, Bygonetime, then Wikipedia isn't the place for it. It doesn't matter how ancient and popular it is. As an encyclopedia (a tertiary source), we aggregate secondary sources, and insufficient secondary source coverage means no article. — Bilorv (talk) 16:49, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
lots of newspapers had printed about that there is no live source about them

[edit]
I received "This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources." as the reason declining my submission for this subject.
The references that I put on the page regarding the subject are all from independent individuals and organizations but not from the subject nor his websites.
If you follow the links and actually read them, you will see these resources are independent, verifiable and reliable as well as these are achievements that this subject has accomplished. Because of these, this subject was able to receive EB-2 NIW, US permanent resident status with National Interest Waiver with exceptional abilities. Also this was the reason that I thought this subject would be a good fit on Wikipedia. This subject is a good example for us.
C8vette (talk) 16:40, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- @C8vette You misunderstand our needs. I state this because I have followed the links and actually read them, and because I am used to examining such links.
- For a living person we have a high standard of referencing. Every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is susceptible to potential challenge, requires a citation with a reference that is about them, and is independent of them, in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS, and is significant coverage. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact cited, that meet these tough criteria is likely to make this draft a clear acceptance (0.9 probability). Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the person is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today.
- Your choice of reference misses these tough criteria, and they are tough. There is no indication form the draft that the subject passes WP:BIO FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 21:14, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

I am an independent contributor and I have no personal relation with this Curtis Williams. I Recently got a book from amazon which is written by James koenig. the book is about Curtis Williams photographer history. So i want to publish his biography details on Wikipedia. Please guide me for how to publish his biography in a better way.
Curtis William (talk) 20:44, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- If you're not Curtis William could you explain why you're using his name on Wikipedia? Further, a biography written in part as an autobiography is not a basis on which to establish notability, per WP:NPERSON. If you want an article on this project, please find reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject to sustain notability. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 20:50, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Curtis William writing a biography is a laudable thing to do. You may find this essay, one of many that deal with article creation, useful.
- I notice that you have uploaded pictures of questionable status to Wikimedia Commons. That is a separate place from the English Language Wikipedia, and has very strict rules about attribution, licencing and copyright. Your Commons user talk page shows a lack of understanding of the needs by virtue of al the file deletion notices. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 21:09, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
