- Template:Ontlaseating (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
One transclusion. Substitute and delete. Steel1943 (talk) 23:08, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
Do not delete it. Kevinhanit (talk) 17:29, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
User:Steel1943, If you delete it, then what would you substitute it with? Kevinhanit (talk) 17:32, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Kevinhanit: Please see this edit for how "substitution" works. What I mean is that I don't see a need for this content to be in the "Template:" namespace since it is used in only one article. So, with "substitution, the code of the template would be placed in the article instead of the transclusion of {{Ontlaseating}}. Steel1943 (talk) 17:48, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for the update. It is a transferable template that goes with the article of the Current Ontario Legislature. It makes it much easier to read the article while updating it as this section is extremely long when edited. Kevinhanit (talk) 18:18, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Keep This template is ugly to look and and difficult to read even on a computer, let alone a phone. That said it's better off as a template as it would make editing the article very difficult. --Tom (LT) (talk) 08:01, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
- Subst and delete The markup stored here is no more complicated than any other article with a wikitable directly in the wikitext, of which there are many, so this is just like any other single-use template. {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 01:52, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
- Subst and delete Seems to me that this is much too detailed stuff for Wikipedia. Substitute back in and then there can be a discussion there as to whether this is needed or not. Either way, it shouldn't be a template. Nigej (talk) 09:47, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

- Replace with image and delete - the image with a clever facility so that you can place the cursor and the name of the person pops up. - @Andy Dingley: oh FFS you have got to be kidding. The template contains nothing but an image. It seemed like a pretty open and shut case. You're vote (see WP:!VOTE) doesn't address the point of the nomination which is that the infobox contains nothing but an image that is used on 1 page. Why on earth does that need an infobox template? --Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 00:22, 11 February 2019 (UTC)

- @Andy Dingley: it was honest... I made a totally legit and valid edit, placing the image on the page and removing the template. Then I nominated the template. You chose to revert my edit for absolutely no reason. It has nothing to do with the merits of the edit, you just didn't like my process. So that is YOUR issue. --Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 00:28, 11 February 2019 (UTC)

- Subst and delete - this is a plain image without any code at all added, so the template is actually a wasted template call. - Template:Infobox crater data (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Propose merging Template:Infobox Venus crater with Template:Infobox crater data.
Only a couple of extra params that can be easily passed directly. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 00:03, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
- Replace and delete per nom. --Tom (LT) (talk) 07:21, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
- Turn into wrapper like {{Infobox Mars crater}} and {{Infobox Mercury crater}}. – Jonesey95 (talk) 08:02, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Jonesey95: it currently is a wrapper. I'm saying there really isn't any need for a wrapper. The wrapper doesn't save much time it just hard codes 2 parameters. I think {{Infobox Mars crater}} & {{Infobox Mercury crater}} should also be merged. --Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 00:06, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Replace and delete - this wrapper saves the editor the need to write "globe=venus", not really a reason to create a wrapper. --Gonnym (talk) 10:38, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
