MealEnders

The article was deleted by the author under criteria G7 for unknown reasons. It could not be considered a draft article as it contained well-edited content and several citations. I was in the process of trying to improve this article by researching reliable secondary sources for this when it was mysteriously deleted in full. I found that the product history is meaningfully linked to Ayds and more modern weight loss drugs. I also found a good logo. I am sorry if I am going about this the wrong way, I have tried to read and understand the policies. Thank you, everyone, for your work. —Luke Kindred (talk) 05:02, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

As Articles for creation, the Draft space, and user subpages are not to be used to indefinitely host material inappropriate for the encyclopedia, what exactly would you do to help make the draft get accepted as an article? Last time this was undeleted, it was deleted six months almost to the day later.Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 21:45, 9 December 2018 (UTC)
This is the first time it's been deleted. The last time was from when the draft was moved into main space and I requested that the draft redirect be deleted. I then moved the article back into a draft until the TV show gets a series commitment. Vistadan 22:02, 9 December 2018 (UTC)

Miss Multinational 2017

Was deleted because the article creator was blocked. I requested it be restored to my sandbox and the deleting editor refused. —22:12, 9 December 2018 (UTC)Trackinfo (talk)

Not done - firstly, this isn't the right venue; you'd have to go through WP:DRV to contest this deletion. That said, there's nothing useful in the page beyond two possibly-helpful sources that border on celebrity gossip and rehashed press releases, [6] and [7]. If this pageant is notable, I suggest you write a new article from scratch; that will be less work than trying to salvage the deleted page. Huon (talk) 17:38, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
This was just an unwarranted neglect of proper procedure on the part of a few elitist administrators. Do you understand why we mere editors start to hate administrators as a class of wiki participants? You treat us like second class citizens; like stupid children. Originally this article should have been restored to my sandbox on request by the deleting admin. Problem would have been solved. It was deleted G5 due to the status of the article creator, that has nothing to do with the content. That failure brought me here. Again, you use your elitist position to see the existing content and you decide for me that its not worth anything. You decide the sources are celebrity gossip and rehashed press releases. Its a damned beauty pageant, what do you expect? Actually your comments already show your prejudice on the lack of notability of this pageant. You use your power, so I don't get to see the deleted, existing article. I don't get to make that evaluation as I try to restore content. You double my workload, but it doesn't matter because I'm just an editor, a peon. As it turned out, I did use those sources. Meanwhile, as I try to fix the connected articles, other problems build up. Unnecessary delays when other problems are waiting. This could have been avoided hours ago if either of you guys had just followed the correct procedure. Trackinfo (talk) 19:23, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
What "correct procedure" are you talking about, exactly? There is no procedure saying that G5 deletions have to be reversed just because someone asks for it, and doing that only tends to encourage the banned editor to make more contributions (WP:BMB). There wasn't very much in the deleted page, basically just an infobox, a list of results, and a tiny bit of prose saying what the competition was and where it was held. The sources cited were [8] [9] [10] [11] if they're any use to you. I'm prepared to email you the contents but only if you can ask without being verbally abusive. Hut 8.5 21:52, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
I did not say it needed to be reversed to the public. I have the right to expect a deleted article to be restored to my visibility in my sandbox. I can then use that as a building block to restoring the article under my own signature. That procedure was prevented by authoritarian administrators in this case. I should not have to apply to become an administrator, to become more equal than others, to get super secret tools to see content other administrators choose to hide from public view. Trackinfo (talk) 22:34, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
Insulting administrators is a good way to be told in no uncertain terms to go fly a kite, and you don't have a right to view deleted content without those tools for a reason (a good chunk of what admins delete are copyright infringements). —A little blue Bori v^_^v Bori! 21:56, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
@Trackinfo:Content created by blocked editors in violation of the block by its very nature is suspect. Such editors clearly do not respect Wikipedia's policies. If you feel that content created by such editors should still not be deleted, or should be restored to whoever wants to see it, you're welcome to propose a change to WP:CSD. As it is, there's no right to have such content restored on request merely by asking. I pointed out the correct procedure (which you didn't follow) above. I'll add that I did provide the sources despite their poor quality, so you don't have to rely on my judgement to see that sources that say, "... the pageant organizers announced on Facebook" or "Talent manager Arnold Vegafria, the national director for Miss Multinational, shared the good news on Instagram" (plus lots of Instagram quotes) indeed are rehashed press releases. Huon (talk) 00:10, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
Trackinfo has explicitly stated that they don't care why the content was deleted (describing it as a "sneaky back door"), that they are purposely "being aggressive in trying to retain it" and that they see their role as "hero defender for them". I think anyone trying to instill logic into this discussion at this point is whistling into the wind.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 00:18, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
All of you make assumptions as if I am not intelligent enough to read. If I submit something under my signature, then I am responsible / liable for that content. What would be a good term for someone who digests content and filters it before making it public, oh right, an editor. What is normal procedure here is when an editor suspects an article is improperly deleted, they request it to be restored to their sandbox for review. Anything further than that, making the content public again, becomes my responsibility. So in your infinite wisdom, you think that I am too stupid to notice a copyvio or to rely on sources that do not qualify as WP:RS? I've been through the Darius Dhlomo and SvG cleanups. Do you need to protect wikipedia from something I might add after I've been editing here for almost a dozen years and 100,000 contributions. That is what you are saying and I think I'm right to be insulted by that.
On to further issues I allude to. We have a class of editors who have an agenda to censor the content of wikipedia, generally called deletionists. If you go through any of the *fD discussions you will find some go to irrational degrees to push for content removal. The are a regular echo chamber of me too !votes. It won't take too long to identify about 30 of them who are the worst, consistent offenders. All of these are high volume, in their mind elite editors. I would say elitist. Some of these are administrators and others have some corrupt administrators in their back pocket to aid and abet their destruction of content. I've been fighting them for a decade and have a pretty good won/loss percentage when I get involved. I use dirty little tricks like "facts" and "sources" that always get in the way of their agenda. But that takes time. I could work 100 hour days and not catch up to the damage being done every day. The world's knowledge database suffers and no administrator has the spine to do anything about it.
This is a big picture problem that keeps on giving, which is why I carry on this discussion well beyond the solution for this article (now fixed). In this case, the administrators only caused me to delay and do extra work, rather than to re-use existing formatting. They shouldn't have done that and should not do that in the future. Talk all you want about content you will not let us see. Daylight is the only solution. Obviously the real solution is to threaten to punish me. Good optics guys.
One subject under constant attack from this group of deletionists is beauty contests and I have gotten drawn into some of the battles. This particular pageant was attacked. When I presented sources, major daily newspapers from India, I was faced with the argument that India (where this pageant is held and the organizer is headquartered) is such a corrupt country that we should not consider ANY source from there to be reliable. 2/3 of the English speaking world, all sources gone. How do you argue with people like that? We got "no consensus" and constant attacks since. So why would I not suspect ulterior motives when one of the associated articles gets speedy deleted and salted without a debate? Trackinfo (talk) 02:00, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G11, indicating an page that was irredeemably promotional or blatant advertising. Note that G11 deletions are more an issue with the tone of the page as opposed to its sources or formatting. As articles deleted under G11 need to be rewritten from scratch, they will not be undeleted as-is here; try contacting the deleting administrator (Longhair (talk · contribs)). remote sensorimotor abuse

None of these terms (remote, sensorimotor, abuse) was coined by me since all of them exist on their own. The content aims at being objective unlike other articles found on wikipedia such as "Electronic harassment" which besides being heavily biased has very little content of scientific or legal value, representing the standpoint of restricted groups. Also terms like brainwashing, mind control, psychotronics and electronic harassment are ridiculed with no legal standpoint. Further, instead of deleting the article it would have been kinder to move it back to draft space —Strikles (talk) 13:03, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

Tommy_Wallach

I have no idea why my page was deleted in the first place (years ago). I looked at the deletion reason given and I can't make heads or tails of it. I'm a traditionally published author, and the page mostly just listed my credits. All of it was easily verifiable (and links were provided), so I'm not sure how you could argue it required more reliable sources. I should also mention that it was deleted during a period where I was being Twitter mobbed, so it seems more likely the deletion occurred for reasons related to that, rather than any issues of source reliability. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2606:6000:66CA:1600:1573:A35B:ADF7:3BB4 (talk) 18:52, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

The only link in the article was to Wallach's Bandcamp page. The article had also sat untouched for two months before it was proposed for deletion in November 2015. —C.Fred (talk) 19:58, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
I am willing to restore it to draft space for improvement if any evidence of significant coverage of Wallach in reliable sources that are independent of Wallach can be presented here. It was deleted via WP:PROD so it can be simply restored, but if I did that, it would be quickly deleted again if left in the state it was in. ~Anachronist (talk) 23:07, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
@Anachronist: That's one of my concerns about the article. The IP has made a claim about the NYT bestseller list; if that checks out, then the article has merit for article space. You may be right that draft space is the best place for now, so it can incubate. —C.Fred (talk) 00:08, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
@C.Fred: It's possible for a book to be a best seller while the author remains obscure. We have conflicting guidelines on this: WP:1EVENT (in the case of publishing a single best seller) and WP:NOTINHERITED say one thing, but WP:NAUTHOR suggests the opposite although it caveats this by saying a person isn't necessarily notable for meeting any of the criteria if significant reliable coverage doesn't exist. But yes, if anyone can show evidence of notability I'm willing to restore it to draft. ~Anachronist (talk) 00:47, 13 December 2018 (UTC)

Not done – this page was deleted as a blatant advertisement under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion and Wikipedia is not to be used as a vehicle for promotion. This does not necessarily mean a suitable article on this topic cannot be created. If it is a notable topic, e.g., multiple reliable, secondary, published sources that are entirely independent of the subject have written about it in substantive detail (not just mere mentions), then a neutrally written article may be possible. This one was written like a commercial. Please review our policies on user pages. Thank you. Rotideypoc41352 (talk) 15:31, 14 December 2018 (UTC)

Draft:European Air Ambulance

I, Pinballdot, request the undeletion of this draft or Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. Pinballdot (talk) 14:08, 12 December 2018 (UTC)

@Pinballdot: The page was restored once before on your request. After that request and the restoration you did not actually work on the page. Can you comment on that, please? Huon (talk) 16:46, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
@Huon: You are right, sorry for that. It was restored once and I was not able to work on it, but now I am in a position to do so and get help to solve the page issues. Please allow me to work on it once more, I am still learning how the system works. Regards --Pinballdot (talk) 17:36, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
Done – as a draft or Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored upon request. Drafts and Articles for creation are not for the indefinite hosting of material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. Huon (talk) 19:00, 14 December 2018 (UTC)

I am translating a page Atru from English to Hindi but now it is deleted, I have tranlated this page into hindi from english. After my work the page automatically deleted. So Please restore the page because it is helpful for readers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SandeepKumarMeena (talkcontribs) 17:06, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Not done and will not be done Deletion was a perfectly valid deletion per CSD A10, duplication of an existing topic—which is not contestable here.

@SandeepKumarMeena: We already have an article on Atru here. We do not need a second article on the English Wikipedia, particularly not when it's a non-English article. There is a separate Wikipedia for the Hindi language. —C.Fred (talk) 18:45, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Carnival Mardi Gras

If you could also clarify your resoning that'd be great.(R2: Cross-namespace redirect from mainspace —Noremac617 (talk) 22:21, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Note: The page isn't deleted, therefore there's no reason to undelete it. Please follow the instructions on the deletion tag in order to contest (if a speedy deletion or prod/stickyprod) or argue against (if a deletion debate) deletion. The R2 means it was a redirect when it was deleted - because the page was draftified. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Bori! 22:27, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
The page can continue to be worked on at Draft:Carnival Mardi Gras to bring it up to article standards. —C.Fred (talk) 22:54, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Rebecca Renner

I was not given warning that the page would be deleted. I was confused, because I thought an editor had denied the speedy deletion request half a year ago. I was not alerted that it had been marked for deletion again, and so I didn't have a chance to improve the article. It also seems that someone has made a new draft of a similar article for the same author, so clearly more than one person cares about this. —Rtbailey99 (talk) 22:49, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Done – as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored upon request.
@Rtbailey99: I'll be merging Draft:Rebecca Renner into the article. —C.Fred (talk) 22:57, 15 December 2018 (UTC)

Sebastian Mantilla

Hello, "G8 - Redirect to a deleted or nonexistent page" was the reason for the article to be deleted. Article can be sustained with further link and info —AtikMedia (talk) 16:48, 16 December 2018 (UTC)

That's because the mage was moved to Sebastián Mantilla (note the diacritical mark). Adjusted the target to reflect this; the one with the diacritic was PRODded. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Bori! 19:01, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
@AtikMedia: I should also note that your username is unacceptable and needs to be changed ASAP to avoid a block. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Bori! 19:02, 16 December 2018 (UTC)

Spatial Demography (journal)

This is a respected journal in this field/discipline and warrants having a page on WikiProjects Academic Journals —Salempar39 (talk) 19:48, 16 December 2018 (UTC)

It appears that the old wikipedia page is still living here: https://en.everybodywiki.com/Spatial_Demography_(journal)

I am on the editorial board for this journal, so I technically have a COI here. However, as a spatial demographer and professor at a major research university, I also believe my that I'm an appropriate authority on the subject.

When the solarpunk wiki was originally created, it did two things - it claimed that solarpunk had been around for a long time (it hasn't), and that it was purely a literary movement (it's more than that). The wiki was removed, from what I understand, because for a supposed literary genre there wasn't much to show for it. However, solarpunk is considered by many people to be more than a niche genre of scifi, some consider it to be a lifestyle, political view, or positive aspirational focus with an Art Nouveau aesthetic. r/solarpunk has over 4000 members, there's multiple facebook groups dedicated to it, numerous solarpunk blogs dedicated to diy / gardening / fashion / lifestyle / activism, there's thousands of pins on Pinterest. There have also been at least 4 books printed with solarpunk explicitly in the title, more are in process of being written, there's a solarpunk instance on Mastodon (Sunbeam City) with over 1000 members, there's a monthly solarpunk twitter chat, there's been numerous essays written and webpages dedicated to it. There's an entry on appropedia (originally just a mirror of what was here, it has since been elaborate on), tvtropes, and other places. There's been explicitly solarpunk music and art created. Given that the world goes to wikipedia first for information on a topic, it would be wonderful to have a wiki on solarpunk. Thank you so much for your time, attention, and consideration.

In addition, none of what you've listed save for possibly the essays are evidence of notability as Wikipedia defines it. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Bori! 23:21, 16 December 2018 (UTC)

I am employee of the THTI and I am requesting that I remove the items that I copied from our website however most of the other material are very important as we are trying to get our Institute on the WikiPedia Website. Please advise. Thank you. —Mosesmac (talk) 00:29, 17 December 2018 (UTC)

Draft:Tobago Regional Health Authority

Please allow me to work on removing the items that are not correct. This will e corrected. This goes for the SouthWest Page as well. These can be dealt with. I also take note as I would have liked to build out our 5 RHA's in T&T which is lacking from WikiPedia and is very important. —Mosesmac (talk) 00:32, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
