Hello I am new to Wiki so please accept my apologies if I have connected via the wrong means. As the actual actor Lucy Sheen seeing my "page" deleted and not being connected to the very first professional acting job I was cast in and one that I am immensely proud of I'd like that corrected. If you wish for proof of who I am am and that Lucy Sheen page should exist then I can supply the following links IMBd [1], My agents website [2], my entry in Spotlight [3]. As I am still alive and breathing I'd like to be reinstated if possible. My website is [4] I am now also a published author [5] and [6] writing under my Chinese name Lucy Chau Lai-Tuen Sheen my last major Theatrical appearances were in 2010 Hungry Ghosts by Tim Luscombe at The Orange Tree Theatre [7] and Plenty by David Hare directed by BAFTA winning Thea Sharrock [8]. My solo theatre piece was recently performed at The King's Head Theatre London [9] As well as developing my own written works, I am also one of the founding members of The British East Asian Artist group which lobbies for equal rights and job opportunities in the arts for East Asian artists [10] born out of the RSC casting controversy for their production of The Orphan Of Zhao at the Swan 2012 If you still need a poster for the film PING PONG I do posses a digital copy of the Westend poster release, when it played at the Metro Cinema. I also have a copy of the VHS cover when the movie was released in the US and a couple of on location stills which I am prepared to make available if wanted — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.184.230.232 (talkcontribs) 10:15, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

Not done. That wasn't an article, it was an unambiguously promotional personal bio more appropriate for your own web site, written by you, your agent, or your associate. I would at least like an opportunity to save the code in a separate document and try to fix it again at a later date if I'm not able to get it fixed correctly immediately. I believe I'm close with it, but haven't been able to get it right yet. I know I can't save it on here indefinitely, so I'd love to copy and paste it into a document so I don't lose all of the work I had put into it. If that won't work, I understand. I'd just appreciate the opportunity if it's possible. I apologize if I'm handling it wrong. Wikipedia isn't my strong suit (obviously). -97.64.183.178 (talk) 02:47, 28 March 2014 (UTC)

Not done. @Singhir: Hi Rahul. This cannot be undeleted. It was a blatant copyright violation of multiple different sources. When you were working on it you copied entire passages of text from various sites like this one and pasted them into the article as its content. I see that you cited the sources you cadged the text from, which indicates to me that you were unaware you could not do this. Please understand that we cite source to show where we get information from, not the words used, which must be your own (except for limited quotations, marked as quotations by the use of quotation marks). Not done. How can we possibly know that? And even if we did it would be useless. It should be self-evident why we cannot use an anonymous assertion of authority over copyright. But you also have to understand that what we need is not permission of the copyright owner to use their material here, but a release by them to the world of the copyright under a suitable free copyright license. The procedures for a verifiable release of content are explained to an extent at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. However, you should also understand that much of this copyrighted material is not written in a manner suitable for an encyclopedia article and even if release was properly obtained, would have to be substantially cut back and rewritten, and reliable sources found and cited to support it (if such sources exist).--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 18:33, 28 March 2014 (UTC)

Hello. The deletion of the articles for creation draft had nothing to do with controversy or formatting. It's just that we don't keep draft articles indefinitely because the only target of having them is that they will make it into the encyclopedia mainspace and six months is deemed long enough; in my view more than "adequate time to be created". However, we also undelete them if someone is indicating they are willing to work on the draft further to address the reason moving it into the mainspace was declined. I take this thread as just such a request and so will undelete now. Done. If it gets deleted again, in six months (or less) undeletion will be less likely. • Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Amazing Discoveries (2nd nomination), it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion. Center of Government

The page "Center of Government" was deleted because it was argued that it duplicated the page "Government". As the many references included in the page showed, this is a separate concept, as it refers to a separate "thing" (not the government in general, but only those institutions that provide direct support to the Chief Executive -i.e., Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of the Presidency, etc.). There is a bunch of academic literature on this topic (cited in the deleted page), and many international organizations (OECD, World Bank, IADB, etc.) have projects about it (they were also linked in the page). The page had almost 20 external sources about this topic, so I'm not sure what additional sources could be included to show that "Center of Government" and "Government" are, in fact, different things. Moreover, the content of the page was completely different than for Government. Mistakenly I recreated the page, leading to another deletion; please excuse this, and thanks in advance for reviewing this request. -DrinkTheKoolAid (talk) 19:03, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

How Far Our Bodies Go

I don't think the page for the album "How Far Our Bodies Go" by Fake Problems met the criteria for deletion. The reason given was "No assertion of importance/significance". The following articles provide evidence that this album did have importance within it's genre:

Can this article be restored with it's original content? I came to this page looking for the track list, year, and album art. It's unfortunate to have to search for this content on other sites when someone took the trouble to add the content on Wikipedia. Thanks. -24.240.73.152 (talk) 06:57, 30 March 2014 (UTC)

Not done. Hello. It did meet the A7 criterion because it did not indicate importance or significance. Note that I did not say (and the criterion does not speak to) whether a subject is important or significant. The speedy deletion criteria as a rule do not address the merits of a topic, but simply what is written about it. So a page on the most worthy topic in the world may be deleted if it is a copyright violation or the writing is gibberish, or if it does not provide sufficient context to understand what it is about, or if, as here, it says nothing indicating importance or significance. The article had one line saying it was an album by the band, followed by the names of the songs and nothing else. What this also means is that since such deletion does not address the worthiness of the topic to merit an article, an article on the topic with proper content can still be created; this just wasn't it.

But please also be aware that by separate processes, we also examine whether a topic warrants an article and I don't know that this album can meet our inclusion guidelines. See generally WP:NALBUMS, and please note that I don't know that either of the sites you point to above are sufficiently reliable sources to sustain the notability of that prospective article. Indeed the first at least is clearly a self-published source. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 12:41, 30 March 2014 (UTC)

Not done Hello Kalpesh. Please don't continue to try to create an autobiography on Wikipedia. Texas Iron Spikes

I am not too sure why the page was initially deleted. We are certainly a student registered organization through the university of Texas at Austin, and such can be seen on the student organization website. If we need to link our page to our organizations website or the Universities student organization website we can do that. I believe this page was falsely deleted for an unknown reason. -Alevine93 (talk) 13:51, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. I will notify user Derek Andrews (talk), who proposed it, and who may choose to nominate it at WP:Articles for deletion, which would start a debate lasting seven days, to which you would be welcome to contribute. The issues with the article are (a) it is written in a promotional tone, but Wikipedia is not a place for organizations to tell the world about themselves, and (b) Wikipedia's inclusion criterion, which is called WP:Notability, requires references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." See WP:UNIGUIDE#Student life. JohnCD (talk) 17:13, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

Not done and will not be done. Hi D.kpatel2612. I think you've mistaken Wikipedia for some other kind of website. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. The content you've been attempting to post (in addition to being a copyright violation) is unsuitable for an encyclopedia. Your post here even confirms that, because Wikipedia is not for newly founded anything, except for rare exceptions that have already been written about out in the wider world by reliable sources, which is not true of this website. There are many places to advertize on the Internet, Please find a different site. Thanks--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 00:13, 1 April 2014 (UTC)

Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles about music. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning musicians or music groups will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. Not done I will defer to another administrator if they believe I'm wrong, but the article (which is technically a biography that contains no references whatsoever) has been abandoned and deleted twice already. Note: The page was speedily-deleted under criterion A7. Pages deleted under that criterion are generally not undeleted because they require complete rewrites to be viable encyclopedia articles or because they violate our biographical or fair-use policies. An A7 speedy doesn't mean the subject isn't notable, it means that the article doesn't explain why it's notable. Since the explanation is the core of any article, A7 speedy deletions cannot be overturned here because they need to be completely rewritten. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 09:48, 1 April 2014 (UTC)

Dairy Derivatives

This page highlights one of the key financial markets in New Zealand. The NZ Dairy Industry makes a significant contribution to the world and New Zealand exports approximately 95% of all dairy commodities produced. As part of this significant market there is a need for risk management tools and this page is designed to educate on that.

Example: Throughout 2013 over 900,000 tonne of dairy commodities were sold on Fonterra's GDT platform. This equates to an estimated US$4-US$5 billion. If the price of these commodities were to rise or fall by just US$100/tonne, this would have a significant impact not only on the New Zealand Economy, but also the global dairy industry.

One of the fundamental issues is the lack of understanding of financial instruments and how they can effectively be used to manage risk. This page was designed at assisting in building that knowledge in the hope that dairy industry participants become wiser in business, not to promote a product. We need participants in the dairy industry to start thinking about how to effectively operate as a business and dairy derivatives provide ideal tools for this. -Harryj2014 (talk) 08:31, 1 April 2014 (UTC)

Note: The page was speedily-deleted under criterion G11. Pages deleted under that criterion are generally not undeleted because they require complete rewrites to be viable encyclopedia articles or because they violate our biographical or fair-use policies. We look very dimly on those who seem to only be able to communicate in buzzwords, corporate memoranda, and Dilbertisms, largely because it's a very clear sign they're not here to build an encyclopedia. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 09:31, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
