[edit]Foxtel
[edit]What channels in Foxtel are Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Charmed currently showed on?
Bowei Huang 2 (talk) 03:49, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- You can look up those and any others on the online Foxtel TV guide. FWIW, Charmed and Buffy are on Sci-Fi, and Sabrina is on TV1. And you better get stepping, cos Buffy starts in 20 minutes... --jjron (talk) 16:39, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Is there a TV drama over the rise and fall of bin Laden?
[edit]House of Saddam was filmed and aired about that of the fallen Iraqi dictator. Now Americans would delight to see a drama film about the rise and fall of bin Laden to the point that it would be a blockbuster hit. There's money to be made in this! Therefore, where is the drama film that I'm looking for? Thanks. --70.179.174.101 (talk) 05:21, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- There's a theatrical film slated for release in late 2012-early 2013. See [1]. --Jayron32 05:29, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hell, last I heard there were two Bin Laden films in development. LANTZYTALK 07:45, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Anytime one major studio puts a movie into production, other major studios will immediately put a competitive project into production. So, if one studio started on a Bin Laden film, at least one other (if not more) will do the same. Personally, I've always wished I was in a position to start something absolutely ridiculous, like a movie about hedgehogs, just to see other studios pour resources into competing stupid ideas. -- kainaw™ 16:44, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- I don't see why a movie about hedgehogs couldn't be absolutely brilliant. In fact, you've given me an idea . . . .
- On a tangentially related note - a few months ago I saw the American-made 1996 version of 101 Dalmations. Unlike many Disney versions of classic British stories, this was explicitly set in London and surrounds, as in the original. I can understand rewriting Roger as an American, since it doesn't do much violence to the plot or setting, but why did the studio falsely portray the British countryside as being populated by at least two animal species endemic to America? Deliberate appeal to the US domestic kiddy market, or sheer ignorance? Completely ruined it for me. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.197.66.13 (talk) 10:36, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

PBS Ident Music
[edit]A few months ago, I heard a significantly longer version of the tune heard in this ident, and I was curious as to the name of the tune and who composed it. Thanks in advance!
Americanfreedom (talk) 09:57, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- It may be composed specifically for PBS as a form of musical tag, akin to the three "NBC" tones or the "Intel" musical theme, etc. --Jayron32 14:58, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
Short film website
[edit]Hello,
About 10 years ago I regularly visited a website that showcased short films and feature length screenplays. Unfortunately, I can only remember that the homepage of the site featured a moving road with roadsigns indicating different important pieces of information. Can anyone jog my memory. I'd like to find out if it still exists. - 87.211.75.45 (talk) 17:08, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
