I've listed this article for peer review because I would consider it (relatively) high on the importance scale and knowing myself I've probably made a bunch of mistakes that I could resolve with a fresh pair of eyes

Comment. 1. A single Historynet article cand hardly establish the significance of the artitcle's subject. We need more sources. 2. We need monographs written by renowned military historians about WWII (not about individual battles/operations) to determine which events are mentioned as "the" turning point of WWII by specialists. 3. The view that there wasn't a turning point also needs to be discussed, as some historians argue that the Axis never had a realistic prospect of victory - from memory, this might be Adam Tooze's view. There seems to be something close to a consensus that Japan never had a chance of success in its war with the United States and was doomed to defeat from Pearl Harbor.
