I am nominating this for featured article because I have spent numerous months expanding and editing this article to the point that it is at. I believe it is well-written, comprehensive, well-referenced and otherwise meets the FA criteria. It has been promoted to GA for a fairly long time and the reviewer said that he or she believes it is a good candidate for FA. JHawk88 (talk) 13:04, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. Five links to disambiguation pages and three dead external links—see the toolbox to the right. Ucucha 17:29, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Images the self-made pictures are OK, and the logo meets Fair Use. However Image:GCHS rendering.png says Copyright © 2006. GMCN Architects. All rights reserved, so I can't see where the CC-3 licence comes from. Image:GCHS Band 1925.png is not fair use, since it is not essential for the article but may well satisfy PD-old. The author is not Gavin Holman unless he took the photograph, which seems unlikely. Replace with correct photographer so date of death can be checked, or replace with "unknown photographer". - Oppose. Unfortunately, almost all the issues raised in the previous FAC remain. These include reference issues, comprehensiveness and coherence issues, citation quality problems, and the lyrics (which are a possible copyright violation). This should really be withdrawn and given benefit of a good peer review before it comes back to FAC. It needs quite a bit of work yet. --Nasty Housecat (talk) 21:44, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. Not sufficiently well-written. Linking and MoS issues.
- Overlinking: "high school" and "USA" (common terms); doesn't the MoS say to use "US" or "U.S.", not the triple? Why are the colours linked? Please see WP:OVERLINK.
- MoS: "fully accredited" (no hyphen after ly).
- "serving students in grades 9–12, located in Garden City, Kansas"—couldn't it be: "serving students in grades 9–12 in Garden City, Kansas"?
- "The current principal is [long list of senior staff]."—This will need upkeep, so I suggest not right up there in the lead, and "as of 2010"?
- "The enrollment for the 2009–2010 school year is approximately 2,000 students." Neater as: "About 2,000 students are enrolled for the 2009–2010 school year."?
- Please read what MOSNUM says about '60s and the like. Tony (talk) 08:50, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
