Cherry Creek
[edit]Thank you for the State Championship table, but I'd like to know where you got these stats. I'd like to see your source since I know for a fact that Creek tennis has won dozens of state championships and that the other sports teams have won some championships too. «O73» 00:47, 30 December 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Omicron777 (talk • contribs)
All right, thanks for the CHSAA championship list. Just a question, don't you think the sports should be labeled "Boys'" and "Girls'" like the list since everybody competing is still a kid? «O73» 04:51, 30 December 2008 (UTC) Omicron777
Yeah, I suppose your right. I was more worried about simply getting the table somewhat organized, but I'll change them all as soon as possible. If you can find any state championships that I've missed (and I've missed a lot!), just feel free to add them because I couldn't find anymore. Thanks. JHawk88
Garden City
[edit]I'll be upfront with you. I have never done a high school (even my own) or any educational institution. I mostly do politics, general Chicago stuff and University of Michigan Athletics. I will be unable to help you with your article but suggest you add a picture of the building and one of any athletic facillities (football field maybe). Then take the article to WP:PR.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 18:18, 11 March 2009 (UTC)--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 18:18, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Big 12 basketball
[edit]Based on your heavy editorial involvement in Sherron Collins, I thought you might be interested in creating a 2008–09 Big 12 Conference men's basketball season article. I have created a 2008–09 Big Ten Conference men's basketball season and there is a 2008–09 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball season both of which may serve as guides. I have recently convinced the Big East to begin 2008–09 Big East Conference men's basketball season. If you are interested and have any questions, drop me a note.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 14:49, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Based on your hard work on the Arizona Wildcats men's basketball, I thought you might be interested in creating an article for the 2008–09 Pacific-10 Conference men's basketball season. The 2008–09 Big Ten Conference men's basketball season and 2008–09 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball season articles have been going since before the conference tournaments and recently 2008–09 Big East Conference men's basketball season and 2008–09 Big 12 Conference men's basketball season have recently been created. I hope to encourage all the power conferences to create such articles this year or at least by next year. In fact, next year I hope to get all the mid majors in on the action too. I do the 2008–09 Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team and the 2008–09 Big Ten Conference men's basketball season and am willing to respond to any queries.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 09:21, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
responding in peer review
[edit]Hi JHawk88, I am glad to see you developing the Garden City HS article and responding to peer review comments at Wikipedia:Peer review/Garden City High School (Kansas)/archive1. It shows respect and is appreciated by me and others, and contrasts with puzzling silence that peer reviewers often get in other cases. About how to respond though, I suggest you just insert indented comments like "Abbreviation now spelled out" or whatever, rather than striking out Ruhrfisch's words. It is usual in wp:FAR and other review processes for reviewers to state criticisms, and then later strike out their own words when the issues have been resolved to their satisfaction. If only the reviewer him/herself strikes out their own words, it is convenient for them to keep track of what they've signed off on and not. It is obvious in advance that this is how it is done. I myself got feedback that my having crossed out some reviewer's comment after i thot it was dealt with, was not appreciated. The peer review area, wp:PR, is less formal, but I think it would be helpful if you would try to follow these practices there too. So, perhaps you could revert your recent strikeouts and replace with comments. That way, also, Ruhrfisch might be tempted to give you further feedback if he agrees or disagrees that the given issues were fully resolved. Anyhow, glad you're at it, and keep up the good work! :) doncram (talk) 19:51, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

GA review of Kevin Youkilis
[edit]I just wanted to make certain you were aware that Kevin Youkilis, an article you recently listed at GA was today nominated at FAC, here. Doubts have been expressed as to whether this article really meets the GA criteria, and in my opinion it does not. You may wish to offer your own opinion either at the FAC or at the GA reassessment I intend to initiate if the article should not be promoted to FA, as seems likely. --Malleus Fatuorum 17:20, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
You can find the GA reassessment here. --Malleus Fatuorum 11:14, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi J Following Featured Article nomination someone's suggested potentially reassessing Garden City High School (Kansas) in terms of GA. Grateful if you or anyone else you can get to help could work on issues raised in Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Garden City High School (Kansas)/archive1 to improve article, thanks Tom B (talk) 16:37, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. [edit]Problem with your custom signature
[edit]You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.
The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.
- Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
- Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thank you. 18:03, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
