Wikipedia:Featured and good topic candidates/Good log/September 2023
There are 41 active Broadway theaters listed by The Broadway League in New York City. The definition of what constitutes a Broadway theater has changed multiple times; the current legal definition is based on a 1949 Actors' Equity agreement with smaller theaters in New York to allow union members to perform, dividing theater spaces in the city into the system of Broadway and Off-Broadway seen today. The general rule is that any venue that mostly hosts legitimate theater productions, is generally within Manhattan's Theater District, and has a capacity over 500 seats is considered a Broadway theater.

This proposed good topic encompasses all 41 active Broadway theaters, which host productions that can be nominated for the Tony Awards, as listed in the Internet Broadway Database and Playbill. Found5dollar improved List of Broadway theaters to FL status in 2020, and I decided to improve all articles on Broadway theaters to GA status between 2021 and 2022. Most of the articles on this list were promoted to GA status by late 2022, and New Amsterdam Theatre was promoted to FA earlier this year. With the recent promotion of Circle in the Square Theatre, all articles in this topic are now GA or higher. --Epicgenius (talk) 00:59, 8 August 2023 (UTC)

American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has released 10 studio albums, starting with her self-titled debut in 2006. Fearless (2008) was certified Diamond in the U.S. and began her streak of consecutive U.S. number-one albums. Speak Now (2010) was her first in four consecutive albums that each sold over one million first-week copies in the U.S., including Red (2012)—her first U.K. number one, 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017). Lover (2019) was Swift's first number one in several European countries, and Folklore and Evermore followed in 2020. Midnights (2022) made Swift the first artist to have the annual best-seller in the U.S. six times, after Fearless, 1989, Reputation, Lover, and Folklore.

This topic includes all 10 studio albums by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, arguably the most important and best-selling songwriter of the current generation(s) say, Millennials and Gen Z. All articles have been improved to either Featured or Good status. --Ippantekina (talk) 04:54, 22 August 2023 (UTC)

- Query - what about the three (soon to be four) "Taylor's version" albums? They may be re-recordings of old material but they are still studio albums so arguably fit within the scope of the topic..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 11:06, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
- For the Taylor's Version albums I think they fit better in a subtopic for "Taylor Swift re-recorded albums" (which also includes the article Taylor Swift masters controversy) which is currently a potential topic being worked on at Wikipedia:WikiProject Taylor Swift. I think this split makes the respective topics more coherent in theme because although the re-recordings are technically also studio albums, they follow a different chronology and are generally regarded as a separate part of Swift's discography. Ippantekina (talk) 02:51, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- That's logical, in that case maybe the topic title should be "Taylor Swift original studio albums".....? -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 07:59, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- I did think of this option but it might be a little wordy.. Ippantekina (talk) 03:31, 29 August 2023 (UTC)

- Support under the name "Taylor Swift original studio albums". It's a clear topic scope with an appropriate lead list. Re-recorded albums could be part of a separate topic with Taylor Swift masters controversy as the lead, or be merged with this into a broader "Taylor Swift albums" topic. — Bilorv (talk) 15:43, 29 August 2023 (UTC)

Supplementary nominations
[edit]The Three Bards are the national poets of Polish Romantic literature. Their tragic poetical plays and epic poetry, written in the aftermath of the 1830 Uprising against Russian rule, revolved around the Polish struggle for independence from the three occupying foreign empires.

Anomochilidae is a family of snakes with one genus, Anomochilus, containing three species of snake. Members of the family are known as anomochilids, or by the common names dwarf pipesnake, lesser pipesnake, and giant blind snake. Dwarf pipesnakes are small and cylindrical, with short, conical tails and small, rounded heads that are continuous with the neck. They have blackish to purplish-brown uppersides and dark brown or black undersides, with orange-red bands around the tail and a variety of pale markings on the snout and belly. All three species of dwarf pipesnake are endemic to Sundaland, where they are found on the Malay Peninsula and the islands of Sumatra and Borneo. Adapted to living underground, dwarf pipesnakes inhabit leaf litter in lowland and montane rainforests at elevations of 220–1,513 m (722–4,964 ft). They are poorly studied and little is known about their diets and reproductive habits. They probably feed on earthworms, snakes, and legless lizards, and uniquely within their superfamily, lay eggs to give birth.

- Support. Genus-topics like this are fairly simple as long as none of the species have subspecies with articles nor subpages. Since this genus lacks those complications, it is complete. --SilverTiger12 (talk) 14:48, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
