Wikipedia:Department of Fun/Word Association/Dice Association
Welcome to Dice Association! In this game, you roll virtual dice and go to that number's link on the last article/word listed. Count the number of links, and add the link with the same number as you received from your dice roll. Note: when counting, do NOT count words in pronunciation links, infoboxes, picture captions, or "see also" lines (including introductory lines mentioning other possible uses - such as "For other uses, see Bewitched (disambiguation)"). In the event that your dice roll sends you to a red link, interwiki link, or external link, continue to the next blue link (do not add red links, interwiki links, or external links to the game). If the article is short and there is an insufficient number of blue links for the number you rolled, return to the first link and continue counting from where you left off. If a dice roll sends you to a disambiguation page, use the disambiguation page; if a disambiguation page is the current article/word, use it as you would any other page. If a dice roll sends you to a page with no blue links at all, roll the dice again.
Example
[edit]For example, if the last article listed was Bewitched, and you rolled a six, you would use David White (actor) (not Agnes Moorehead).
- This page is about the American television sitcom. For other uses, see Bewitched (disambiguation)[Don't count].
- Bewitched is an American situation comedy originally broadcast for eight seasons on ABC[1] from 1964 to 1972, starring Elizabeth Montgomery[2], Dick York[3] (1964–1969), Dick Sargent[4] (1969–1972), Agnes Moorehead[5] and David White[6]. The show is about a witch who marries a mortal and tries to lead the life of a typical suburban housewife. Bewitched continues to be seen throughout the world in syndication and on DVD and was the longest-running supernatural-themed sitcom of the 1960s–1970s era.
Additional
[edit]When adding your word, add the dice roll you got in parentheses after your word. If creating a new game, put "#" in the parentheses after the initial word. Branches are permitted, but only on multiples of 100. Repeating words are possible and permitted. Have fun!
