[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Battle of Nowa Wieś, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nowa Wieś (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Yutaka Akino
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Yutaka Akino requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://src-h.slav.hokudai.ac.jp/akino/akino-e.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Bobai Campaign into Guangxi Campaign. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:23, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

The article Zhu Jiabao has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unreferenced biography; a living artist with a similar name may be notable, but this person was not.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Bearian (talk) 20:39, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
New articles
[edit]Hi Zee money, thanks for creating the new articles on Chinese history, which are badly needed. However, Wikipedia requires content to be supported by reliable sources. When you create articles without any source, people may nominate them for deletion. If you're translating the articles from Chinese, the easiest way is to copy the references from the Chinese articles. Leave a message on my talk page if you need help with anything. Speedy deletion nomination of Chauncey Lynch Wood
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Chauncey Lynch Wood requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Speedy deletion nomination of 2016 in Finland
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on 2016 in Finland requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. The article Pei Jianzhang has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. DYK for Ye Liansong
[edit]On 28 February 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ye Liansong, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Governor Ye Liansong said he never thought of becoming a politician until he was told of his appointment as vice-mayor? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ye Liansong. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Hi, can you please explain to me why you created this category when there is already a Category:Members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference? What is the difference? Timmyshin (talk) 17:12, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
Please categorise categories
[edit]It's great that you have so much energy for creating new categories, but could I ask you to please, please add a parent category to any new categories you create?? The purpose of the Wikipedia category system is to help people find articles by going up and down the hierarchy, so a good category has 10's of members - it's not like tagging a blog post with every minor attribute. So then you create lots of work for other editors to categorise the categories you have created - it's not fair on the community. Please have a read of WP:Overcategorization, in particular the sections on creating small categories and narrow intersections. I understand that you're creating articles in areas that don't have good Wiki coverage, but have a look around equivalent categories such as Category:American politicians and Category:British politicians and Category:American military personnel to get an understanding of how the category system works. The other advantage of placing categories on new categories is that it can save you work by helping you find appropriate categories that already exist, either more general ones or ones that use a standard format - for instance there's no need to create a PRC category when there's already one that uses the standard form of "China". There was no need to create a one-member category called Category:Ōmi Province merchants, when the convention is to name Japanese people categories after modern prefectures rather than historical provinces, as you would have seen if you'd looked at Category:Ōmi Province. And Category:Ōmi Province merchants was too narrow an intersection, it would be better to replace that one narrow category with two existing ones like Category:People from Shiga Prefecture and Category:Japanese merchants (or, since "merchant" is a rather archaic word, Category:Japanese businesspeople would be better for a modern businessman like Koichi Tsukamoto). As another example, you created Category:Republic of China politicians when there was already a Category:Politicians of the Republic of China, which you would have found by looking at Category:People of the Republic of China so you've created work for you in making a category that you didn't need to. Cheers Le Deluge (talk) 12:12, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
- Good to see some categories going on. <g> In 90% of cases you should be able to put at least two categories on. Typically a category will be in two parts, like Category:Football in Guangdong and you can usually find a parent category by looking at a more general version of each half - so Category:Sport in Guangdong and Category:Football in China by province in this case. Also, I've been looking at some of your "People from xx County" categories and I think most of them are probably WP:Overcategorization. Obviously it's a bit of a grey area but for now I'd just have prefecture level categories, and only break them down into county level once the prefecture categories get too big. Cheers. Le Deluge (talk) 15:10, 10 April 2016 (UTC)
- I agree with most of Le Deluge's points above, except the overcategorization bit. "People from xx County" are not natural WP:SMALLCATs. Chinese counties (or county-level cities) usually have 100,000s of people and thousands of years of history. Each could easily contain several hundred articles, if they were all created. See zh:Category:余姚人 for example (the equivalent en Category:People from Yuyao pathetically contained a single article. I just added a few more). I write a lot of Chinese biographies, and am often frustrated that they cannot be added to more specific categories. So these are needed. -Zanhe (talk) 16:37, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

The article Fan Chengzuo has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references.
Sources Please
[edit]I see that the first edit to this talk page was someone asking you to include references in new articles you start. And now two years later you've created Sylvester of Antioch with detailed dates and predecessor and successor but no references. Where did you get the information? Did you just invent it? If not, please give the source of your information: you're presumably using a book, journal article, or website - just tell us. Even if it's "Copied from a painted board in the Cathedral", though in that case some people might claim it's an unreliable source. Thanks. PamD 11:34, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

FYI, Talk pages, WikiProject Biography
[edit]Greetings, When a talk page is created, it is most helpful to place WikiProject Biography first at the top of the list of wikiprojects. I do not recall where I read this, but it has something to do with flags set (correctly) in the following WP's when Bio WP is first. For example, see Talk:Edward Detkens after being updated.
In addition, please see article Edward Detkens for an example of how to update Stub articles with stub notice tags, etc. Regards, — JoeHebda • (talk) 13:12, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
Question: where are Source/reference for new Biography articles?
[edit]Greetings, Thank you for helping to build the Wikipedia encyclopedia. While doing article assessments for WP Catholicism, I notice a number of new Stub articles created without any References being added. For example: Edward Kaźmierski, Józef Kurzawa, Edward Detkens. Just curious if these people's names are from a book or another official published document? Regards, — JoeHebda • (talk) 13:27, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:05, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

[edit]ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
[edit]Hello, Zee money. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
Rivers
[edit]Hi Zee Money, I noticed that you created four river articles Minaker River, Tetsa River, Chischa River and Snake River (Sahtaneh River) by translating the Swedish articles, but keeping the foreign refs and templates – producing error filled pages. Can I suggest that you invest some time in checking how templates etc work before creating any others? I have redone the Minaker River article, maybe you could tidy up the others in a similar way? (I will watch here for any reply)...Jokulhlaup (talk) 12:13, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
Hello, Jokulhaup. Thank you for the reminder. I am not experienced with translating articles from the Swedish wiki (I usually translate from Chinese and Japanese, among others). Yes, I have created another article (Buckinghorse River). There are a lot of British Columbia rivers without English language articles that have a bot-created Swedish one. I think that is odd for an English-speaking country like Canada. Zee money (talk) 12:51, 19 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. Not sure that a translation of Swedish bot articles really adds much to the English wiki, especially when they have so many error messages...Jokulhlaup (talk) 14:56, 19 December 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for helping me with making those articles, but could you put some of those sites as sources on each article (regiment.ru and Mark Conrad's site, particularly)? Just copy and paste those refs from the articles I did. Romanov loyalist (talk) 02:22, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Alright, could you just stop making these articles? I'll make them myself. Romanov loyalist (talk) 14:58, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I will stop. I am using the Polish articles and they're very short. Please start the article for Zhang Xun's cabinet when you are done with everything. I normally do articles relating to China and Japan.Zee money (talk) 16:23, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
I would do that but unfortunately I haven't been able to find any sources I could use for that article. There aren't many on the Chinese article for it. Romanov loyalist (talk) 02:37, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
- Zee Money, could you please add sources that actually are relevant to the given infantry division? Can it really be that hard to just copy the Conrad source into the articles you are quickly creating? Kges1901 (talk) 01:49, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

Please use English
[edit]Hi, Zee Money. I just tried to fix the reference and template errors in a couple of your articles. Unfortunately, I don't speak Finnish. This being English Wikipedia, most of our readers and editors don't, either. Nor does the software, which means that when you use templates in Finnish as you did on Herman Hurmevaara, you end up with a bunch of error messages.
Please fix the errors in Herman Hurmevaara's article, and in the future, when writing articles here, please make sure you're using the English formats. Thanks. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 13:06, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

The article 2016 in Asia has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- There appear to no other "[X year] in Asia" articles (e.g. 2015 in Asia, 2017 in Asia) and this article is highly incomplete and practically unsourced.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Plot Spoiler (talk) 21:51, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
Please translate everything - not just article text
[edit]Hi. A couple of months ago I asked you to use the English versions of references and templates because non-English versions result in errors.
Other editors have made the same or similar requests: [1], [2], [3], [4], yet you're still creating/translating articles without translating the wikimarkup, resulting in the same errors. Some examples are Yelisey Goryachev, Semyon Turovsky, Ivan Ganetsky, Vasily Boldyriev, and Vladimir Gorbatovsky.
This is a problem. What can we do to resolve it? BlackcurrantTea (talk) 00:13, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Articles lacking sources
[edit]I was just up at the category:articles lacking sources, and came across a bunch of your articles with no sources. Every article that is written on WP must have sources, per WP:V and WP:SOURCE. The facts in each article must be verifiable. You must put sources in, or you risk getting a whole bundle of your articles deleted. Also I notice you put in Division names for German divisions, a whole bundle of them, like, 12th Landwehr Division (German Empire) and the 11th Landwehr Division (German Empire). These are two of the same, except there is a 2 in the first article. Where is the detail of war operations undertaken by each division? That needs to be added. By wikipedia convention, divisions are not listed, unless they have done something notable. Usually there are in an aggregate article, listing them. At the moment these two articles lack any encyclopedic knowledge. They are names, directory listings. For bio articles, like Konstantin Neumann, Google Books is a good place to find sources, and you can use Google Book Cite tool [5] to quickly generate references. At the moment, your making a load of unnecessary work for everybody else. scope_creep (talk) 23:47, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Kirbanzo (talk) 18:05, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
Incomplete Heroes of the Soviet Union lists
[edit]Hi, thanks for creating some of the Hero of the Soviet Union lists that were relinked. I am under the impression you created the lists from Category:Heroes of the Soviet Union, but less than 15% of Heroes of the Soviet Union have articles on English Wikipedia; hence the lists only contain a small fraction of names it should contain as indicated. I'm working on the list for names starting with G in my sandbox, but could you please expand the lists sometime? For example, the "C" list can be expanded from the Russian lists ru:Список Героев Советского Союза (Чабунин — Чернышёв) and ru:Список Героев Советского Союза (Чернышёв — Чхаидзе). There's no rush, take your time, but please do note on the list pages that they are incomplete and please complete the incomplete lists before creating a new incomplete one. (no pressue). Thank you for creating the lists, and to prevent further confusion I added a clarification tag to the Heroes of the Soviet Union category. For reference, each HSU has an article in Russian and you can see the complete category with all 12,000+ names here at Russian Wikipedia. ru:Категория:Герои Советского Союза. --PlanespotterA320 (talk) 19:19, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

Response to your question (putting on your talkpage for easy reference)
[edit]- @Zee money:. Ok, here's my (partial) list of changes I made/suggestions for future articles, done per formatting guidelines and standardization of formatting.
- 1. I appears that most of it (or all of it) was copy-pasted from the Google-translated version of the Russian article. Hence I added the following wikitext "{{Translated page|ru|Федотов, Василий Николаевич (генерал-майор)}}" to the talk page as required by Wikipedia attribution rules.
- 2. I added the Patronymic of the name to the infobox and lead.
- 3. I added the native name of the person (Василий Николаевич Федотов) to the "|native_name =" parameter of the infobox and and in the lead.
- 4. Because this is a Soviet biography and most parts of the world including the Commonwealth of Independent States format dates as day-month-year instead of month-day-year, I switched to the day-month-year formatting.
- 5. I switched the "-" to a "–" (endash).
- 6. In the infobox parameter for rank, Major-General should be capitalized.
- 7. Generally only Hero of the Soviet Union is worth mentioning in the lead, and certainly not the Order of the Patriotic War which became a jubilee medal in 1985.
- 8. "Soviet Red Army" is redundant; just write "Red Army".
- 9. I changed the "literature" to "references" and added references with the "Cite" templates, and correctly formatted them.
- 10. To avoid perception of bias, use the terms "World War II", "Second World War", or "Eastern Front of the Second World War", etc, instead of "Great Patriotic War".
- 11. I added {{DEFAULTSORT:Fedotov, Vasily}} so that it would be correctly sorted by surname in its categories.
- 12. Due to the poor grammar, incomplete sentences, bizarre terminology/wording, and style, I did some major copyediting and rewrote many parts. Always check over any google-translated text before submitting it, and it's a good idea to use a grammar checker even for your own writing (I prefer grammarly).
- Also, a lot of the Hero of the Soviet Union lists you created are still incomplete: I finished the lists for the letters "G" and "F", and am currently working on "C", but would you please work on finishing them before starting anything else? It's a bit hard to keep up with all the incomplete lists and finish them before the next one is started, resulting in a major backlog. Out of curiosity, are you an English speaker? (Just asking because the article seemed 100% google translated)--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 23:58, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
- Additionally, please link military units even if they are not linked in the Russian article, for example 161st Rifle Division and 40th Army. This helps readers find more information on the units they commanded or were a part of. Kges1901 (talk) 00:16, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Kges1901: Fronts, armies, and corps should be linked. Divisions and regiments should only be linked if the article in English exists or if the regiment is especially notable. Non-notable regiments should not be redlinked - it adds ugly redlinks that will never change and messes with the newbies when it comes to notability policy.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 01:40, 27 June 2018 (UTC)
- Agreed, Planespotter's answer is a better guide for linking. However, already half of the divisions have articles and all should eventually be covered, so they should still be linked. Kges1901 (talk) 01:43, 27 June 2018 (UTC)

Would you PLEASE stop that?
[edit]Hi there. You keep on creating incomplete Hero of the Soviet Union lists, which takes hours for me to fix. Would you please finish the incomplete lists you created before creating more incomplete ones? I can't keep up, and you really should consider first drafting your work in the sandbox. As you can see here, here, here, and here, I have had to repeatedly make MAJOR edits to your original lists due to incompleteness. Please don't publish an article before it is finished, finish it in your sandbox FIRST, publish it SECOND. Don't publish an incomplete list and wait for someone else to take care of it.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 21:09, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- Agree with @PlanespotterA320:. Zee money, you're an experienced editor now. It's about time you start writing some real content instead of creating numerous stubs while leaving others to clean up your mess. -Zanhe (talk) 21:22, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

Articles you've written
[edit]I've been looking over the articles you have written and noticed a rather frustrating amount of issues with them. Please start articles in your sandbox first, copyedit them, proofread, and add references using the correct templates before publishing content in the article space. It never hurts to hit "show preview" before submitting content to make sure all templates used exist. Since so much seems super machine-translated please use a grammar checking program (of any kind) before submitting. I don't want to have to fix the same mistakes over and over and over, as an experienced editor you should be a bit more competent in wikitext by now. I appreciate your enthusiasm about creating lots of articles quickly, but here at Wikipedia quality matters a lot. Nonstop error-laden edits are disruptive. I'm not saying you should leave wikipedia, but would you please consider taking a "wikibreak" for a few days to practice editing and writing in your sandbox? I would be willing to create shared drafting space to coach you through the process. I hope you will please dedicate some time to improving the quality of your edits, because you have a lot of potential but seem to be choosing to toss it aside in favor of creating lots of short stubs.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 02:08, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

France at the 2018 Mediterranean Games moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, France at the 2018 Mediterranean Games, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
