Unsourced articles
[edit]Hi - I have come across a number of new articles that you have created recently, such as Noble Consort Zhaojie and Noble Consort Zhaoshu, which do not contain any sources at all. Two concepts that we have here are verifiability and notability. The first one, verifiability, means that we should be able to check that articles' content is accurate - we do that by comparing it with reliable sources. If there are no sources in an article, it is very difficult to check whether the information is true. The second concept, notability, is about whether or not we should have an article about a subject. Generally speaking, we don't have articles about subjects that aren't discussed by multiple sources - the general notability guide discusses this. So, when I look at a new article, I check to see whether there are multiple reliable sources discussing the content. For the above two, I can't establish whether the content it true, or whether we should even have an article at all about them.
I did see you adding a source to Empress Zhaocheng, but all you said was " Old Tang Book " Volume 55
. I am not an expert on Chinese history, but I think this is referring to the Old Book of Tang - do any modern scholars discuss these people? Girth Summit (blether) 10:18, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
Noble Consort Zhaoshu moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Noble Consort Zhaoshu, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. noq (talk) 10:42, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
