Karlštejn

Hello, what is the point of this edit? Karlštejn is hardly Camelot, and it is almost always mentioned followed by castle. Most articles on castles include Castle in the article name, that is why I had moved the article, but that was reverted soon.-- Matthead  Discuß   17:50, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Golfer Infoboxes

Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus pages deserve to be like all the other golfers and not that so called golfer template for the info box if you don't rectify them to be cohesive along all the other countless golfer to the previous template I will have to submit you for vandalism. Infobox on Katherine Hull

Hi Wjemather -- Thanks for updating the infobox on the new article I created today for Katherine Hull. I didn't realize a new infobox template had been created. --Crunch (talk) 02:31, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

On second thought ...

It appears this new infobox is not standardized. Oh well. It looks good anyway. See my note on the Project Golf Talk Page --Crunch (talk) 02:47, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

3RR Violation

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Gray-Nicolls. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. --136.173.162.129 (talk) 12:20, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Since you are counting (badly, I might add), I reverted 2 edits at Gray-Nicolls, the second time adding the company website reference – the first of my three recent edits being removal of the notability tag, and a superfluous {{fact}} tag. Anyhow, the list is referenced, see Talk:Gray-Nicolls for further comment. wjematherbigissue 13:12, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation!

I will no longer put them on their! Have a fantastic day! Bluedogtn (talk) 20:43, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

birth date vs birth-date, death date vs death-date, etc.

Discussion moved to User talk:J JMesserly, where it was started. wjematherbigissue 10:16, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

My place or yours. I don't care. I thought you'd see messages quicker if they were here. Yeah. You need to look at the docs. -J JMesserly (talk) 17:19, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Birth and death templates

I noticed that you had voiced concern regarding the current issue surrounding the new templates at the creator's talk page. I thought you might be interested in the discussion I've been having regarding this at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Biography#Template swap for Neuroscientist biography articles (no visual change) about the template and the process that went into changing the MOS (none), and also this thread I have opened at WP:AN/I. I cannot confirm that a consensus outside of a discussion regarding overall start date/end date templates occurred, and yet, a change was made to the MOS saying that the birth/date templates were recommended (I can find no consensus for that whatsoever). When I started discussing this with the editor, he implied there had little to objection and yet I keep finding it all over the place, including issues brought up when he made changes to the documentation of one project's bio infobox. If you have comments to add, please do so. Thanks. Wildhartlivie (talk) 07:22, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

So... so far, administrators have ignored the edit protected request and currently we only have Skyring contesting the supported request. Do you have any idea where this should go, or where we should go from MOSNUM? When J JMesserly pushed for the discussion to be moved to MOSNUM, I stated it would likely be a pointless place to take it because chances were that the real issue would be talked around and talked down until it was a waste of time. Apparently I called that right. Meanwhile, Messerly hasn't edited all week. I'm not sure what that means. Any suggestions? Wildhartlivie (talk) 20:12, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
Has Messerly disappeared completely? Not that it would surprise me. I've already reverted his changes to the infobox documentation pages, but I haven't looked at the infoboxes themselves. However I worked from his recent changes page. What confounds it for me is the microformat things he had put in. I'll admit, I never did understand what that was supposed to do. His explanation, as usual, was vague and unhelpful. I've wondered if he works on behalf of some entirely different web presence that would benefit from WP having the microformat info in the articles. He seemed purpose focused. Then there are the marriage templates he had started adding to multiple articles. I'd mention that Skyring (Pete) has also placed a few templates in articles. I'm almost finished with another task (removing the Find A Grave templates and replacing them with findagrave - I started at over 2000 and now have it down to a bit over 500. The removal of the templates in the articles is a big task, they're in the several thousands. If it goes to TFD, I'm not sure I know how that will be implemented. I'm concerned that it would be the issue as it was for Find A Death - it couldn't be bot accomplished. Any suggestions are certainly helpful. Wildhartlivie (talk) 17:17, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Upcoming User:MandelBot run

I am proposing that my Bot, User:MandelBot convert articles from a special purpose new plain text templates to another. The object is to remove the -year templates since they are obsolete. I do not imagine this is controversial from your POV, but I have been wrong in these sorts of assessments in the past. You may wish to review the change and ask any questions regarding it at: Wikipedia:Bot_requests#Announcing_a_bot_run. The object is to delete the obsolete -year plain text templates. Regards, -J JMesserly (talk) 17:22, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Seems reasonable, eliminating redundancy can only be a good thing. wjematherbigissue 08:29, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
Of course I can undo this if anyone objects later, but I note that Wildhartlivie has not been making edits and may not have seen this same notice on her user page. My guess is that she wouldn't object either. You think that's safe? -J JMesserly (talk) 19:20, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, I can't really speak for others. I think she may have gone in for the eye op before you posted the notice. I leave it to your judgement, whether to wait for her return. wjematherbigissue 19:34, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Oh that's right. I'll wait. -J JMesserly (talk) 20:03, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

I was just testcasing it, and asked for it to be deleted! This was just a trial and error, which came out to be a horrendous error!GOLFAUTHORITY 22:31, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

This is a new article that I just created, and would greatly appreciate it if you could help make it better with your wikisense! Have at it Wjemather!GOLFAUTHORITY 04:24, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Thank You and Great Editing! Look 4ward to working with you again!GOLFAUTHORITY 00:46, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Sunshine tour Most wins

I thought before the 60's the Sunshine Tour was known as the South African Tour and players like Gary Player, Bobby Locke and Sid Brews would still have the wins before 60's count as wins on the all-time South African Tour wins list. One question: do WGC events count as wins on the Sunshine Tour? because I know major championships don't. User:Swat360bigissue 23:20, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Slazenger

Hi Wjemather, thanks for clarifying the removal of the Ian Bell endorsement info from the Slazenger article - I thought it best kept in until further info could be provided, which you've done. I'm generally nervous about anonymous content removal without some sort of edit summary or sourcing. Cheers, ponyo (talk) 15:10, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Re: Rugby World Cup

I left my reason when I reverted it, check the history for the reason why The C of E (talk) 15:55, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

What happens in my past has nothing to do with the current situation. I gave you a reason why it should be, if you're not going to give me a reason why it shouldn't then leave it alone The C of E (talk) 17:22, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

How many times do I have to tell you? I left my reason on my edit description as for the change. CHECK IT, its not hard! The C of E (talk) 19:21, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I have never said that Dublin was in the UK. What I said was that since Ireland is represented as a united country it is part of a united British Isles and that makes it the UK holding it. Now I hope I made my point crystal clear. I don't want to hear anymore about it I'm getting bored with the whole scenario The C of E (talk) 19:45, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
