A tag has been placed on M2 Machines requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. sourcing

[edit]

Hi Winstink. I've come across articles you created, Aberdeen Square, British Columbia Toll Highways and Bridge Authority and Continental Centre, and noticed that you often use sources that are not independent or reliable. Please review Help:Referencing for beginners and Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources and revisit the articles you created and add independent, reliable sources. Thanks! Ways to improve Aberdeen Square

[edit]

Hi, I'm Mduvekot. Winstink, thanks for creating Aberdeen Square!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The architect writing about their own project is not a reliable source. Please review WP:RS

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Ways to improve Continental Centre

Hi, I'm Mduvekot. Winstink, thanks for creating Continental Centre!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. What the subject has to say about itself is not usable as a source. Please review Wikipedia:Verifiability

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Speedy deletion nomination of Aberdeen Square

[edit]

Hello Winstink,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Aberdeen Square for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Your contributed article, Aberdeen square

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Aberdeen square. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Aberdeen Centre. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Aberdeen Centre. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. RileyBugzYell at me | Edits 20:09, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Winstink. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Foody World, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Winstink. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Continental Centre, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 23:22, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Could someone please clearly explain to me why i have been blocked? is it possible for me to be unblocked and given another chance? I promise will be very careful if i am given one more chance. (if i fail to do good when unblocked, please feel free to delete my account, because i have learned my lesson) Thanks! Decline reason:

Competence is required; see Bbb23's comments below, which sum up the situation better than I could hope to do. GoldenRing (talk) 13:28, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@Bbb23: Could you comment here, please? GoldenRing (talk) 12:24, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The user created their account on February 20, 2017. Their first edit was on March 23, 2017. To date, they have 97 edits, of which 54 are deleted edits. They are incompetent. Either all or almost all (I didn't check every one) of the articles they've created have been tagged for speedy deletion and deleted or otherwise not retained as standalone articles. They are a time sink and of little, if any, benefit to the project. Hence the block.--Bbb23 (talk) 12:34, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Winstink, does that make things clearer for you? GoldenRing (talk) 13:27, 5 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Winkstink, stop overriding the declined unblock template with new text. If you want to post another unblock request, use a new template.
