Heads up

[edit]

Hey, just a heads up on the Rater, it seems to be defaulting everyone to living=no on any assessments being done. See [1]. Make sure on the assessments you're doing currently you hit that tab (I learned that the hard way yesterday I don't know what broke on Rater). Wizardman 14:56, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. Thanks. I didn't notice that. Wikibear47 (talk) 15:08, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If possible, could you look over Category:Pages using WikiProject Biography with conflicting living parameter and fix the pages you have worked on? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 22:00, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Will try. Wikibear47 (talk) 23:57, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have managed to undead people on the pages that I worked on. Wikibear47 (talk) 00:31, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Don’t let it stop you

[edit]

Hello, since you were recently accused of being my sock for sharing the same opinion in AFDs (which isn’t always true), I noticed some comments from Libraa2019 that seemed a bit bullying to me. I hope this doesn’t discourage you from sharing your thoughts in AFDs - where I join in too—without any fear. Happy editing!Saqib (talk I contribs) 18:37, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your kind words @Saqib. Much appreciated. Bullying comments or ridiculous SPI cases are not going to stop me from expressing my opinions anyway. Wikibear47 (talk) 02:05, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Original Barnstar
I’d like to award you this barnstar for your good work on Pakistan-related AFDs. Your efforts to help Wikipedia get rid of unwanted articles are greatly appreciated! — Saqib (talk I contribs) 18:45, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted

[edit]

Hi Wikibear47. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Elli (talk | contribs) 20:31, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pending changes reviewer granted

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Speedy deletion declined: Sufiyan Muqeem

[edit]

Hello Wikibear47. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Sufiyan Muqeem, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Previous deletions were of redirects to a draft version. The most recent discussion was a redirect but content has changed significantly. Thank you. ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 23:39, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Iqtidar

[edit]

Hi hope you are well,

I made this Wikipedia page but put it in the draft section to be reviewed and it got moved to the articles that were created section. I’ve seen it’s been out for speedy deletion since it was accepted by a banned user? so are you able to put this back to a draft as I was waiting for someone to review my draft if that’s not a problem?

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
