Why did you block me?

[edit]

Why did you block me for having the same IP adress as another user? WikiManUser21 (talk) 16:36, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

However, I won’t have a problem right now, because I will be right back when the block ends. WikiManUser21 (talk) 04:05, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

I guess we may have the same IP adress, but I don’t understand how am I a sockpuppet of another user, who made the account in 2023. I made my account in 2021. I guess you purposely tried to block me for standing up to authoritarian Administrators. WikiManUser21 (talk) 5:42 am, Today (UTC+2)

Decline reason:

It was an error. Actually, the other account is a WP:sockpuppet and you are the WP:sockmaster. I hope you understand it now. Vanjagenije (talk) 11:15, 11 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

It’s been 10 months since my last sock account has been blocked, and I will admit, the accounts under the names of WikipedianRevolutionary and UkraineFella are my own sockpuppet accounts. I’ve decided to appeal my block in order to hopefully return to editing and proving myself as a useful Wikipedia user, unlike last time. I’ve been blocked for numerous reasons: making disruptive edits within Wikipedia, ignoring warnings coming from fellow Wikipedians and using sockpuppets to bypass my block. I’ve also been known for arguing with and behaving rudely towards other users and admins and accusing them of conspiracies against new users. These allegations are not true and I want to apologize for making up those false theories. I will not defend my actions and I claim full responsibility for my wrongdoings. No one else has caused my block. It was entirely my fault. If I manage to return to editing, I will promise that I won’t be making disruptive edits. Instead, I will collaborate with other users and respect Wikipedia’s guidelines. These 10-months have helped me to mature myself enough to realize my past actions, in order to correct them by contributing to this website and like I said before, proving myself as a useful, trustworthy Wikipedia user and not someone who causes trouble. Decline reason:

I'm glad you acknowledged the socking, but the standard offer requires six months of no socking at all. You haven't gotten there yet, since you were still socking a week before posting this request. If you want that consideration, refrain completely from editing until at least 24 January 2025, and ask for reconsideration at that time. Every time you sock, it will "reset the clock", and also make it less likely that such a request will be accepted. Seraphimblade Talk to me 21:52, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
