Hello WiedenKunst. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:WiedenKunst. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=WiedenKunst|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. JBchrch (talk) 23:38, 18 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello JBchrch,

thank you for you comment. The story is as follows, first I am a fine artist and I have many fine arts friends. Second my dog had an accident and I had a bill of 4700 Euro to pay. Many of my friends have donated me money to pay this bill. After I got the most of it I wanted to be thankful in the way to publish them in wikipedia, because many have reached the encyclopaedic criteria of wikipedia, with their awards, exhibitions, publications and vitae. I am still about to pay of my depts because of the bill and there are still artists especially woman, who have difficulties to access edit and publish on wikipedia. The underrepresentation of woman in wikipedia is a big problem. In Oslo I met Marte on a conference "Feminism+Art" on this issue.

So I would negate that I am a payed advocate, since 1.) I do not follow any profit oriented aim 2.) I have a feminist political agenda to educate and help woman (artist) to be present at Wikipedia. All in all I am not a Wikipedia professional by myself and need comments and corrections in the outcome.

Strongly I want to negate any intention of SEO miss-use! My payment that is a friendship price / hour is to be for consulting regarding Wix Versurs WordPress, a Word Press Site installation and design and education and support for a possible entering the wikipedia. I didn´t give any guarantee that the article she wrote herself will be published.

The author of the article is Marte Bjorndal herself and not me. I just have published it and helped on the technical side.

She could have published the article from her account too, with my assistance.

So I would rather ask and expect a support of you and the Wikipedia Community to say what changes are necessary in the article that Marte is on Wikipedia since she has reached the appropriate public relevance.

I am not a paid advocate i a commercial and regular business sence. I just want to support artists and scientist in beeing visible on this great free plattform of knowlegde and information. And my "clients" are my friends.

Sincery Yours, WiedenKunst (talk) 07:19, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi WiedenKunst and thank you for this thorough answer. I am sorry that you had to go through this and I hope that things are better. However, I need to inform you of the following points, which derive from our core policies and principles:
  • If you are editing articles about your friends — even if you are not compensated — then you are in a position of conflict of interest. This does not mean that it is impossible for you to edit such articles, but we ask you should comply with the following rules, from our Conflict of interest policy:
    • you should disclose your COI when involved with affected articles;
    • you are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly;
    • you may propose changes on talk pages (by using the {{request edit}} template), or by posting a note at the COI noticeboard, so that they can be peer reviewed;
    • you should put new articles through the Articles for Creation (AfC) process instead of creating them directly;
    • you should not act as a reviewer of affected article(s) at AfC, new pages patrol or elsewhere;
    • you should respect other editors by keeping discussions concise.
  • Your article on Marte Bjorndal has been deleted by a Wikipedia administrator because it was written in a way that was indistinguishable from outright promotion or advertising. In the future, you also need — and in addition to the foregoing rules — to write articles from a neutral point of view, using reliable and independent sources, and avoiding self-published and primary sources.
  • Finally, and most importantly, Wikipedia editors are very committed to promoting gender equality on the encyclopedia. If you want to add articles about women or are concerned about their under-representation on this website, there are many projects you can involve yourself with, starting with the ongoing Feminism and Folklore 2021 writing contest!
More generally, the more you will contribute on projects that do not involve your friends and simply try to contribute to this incredible project for the sake of it, the more fun you will have!--JBchrch (talk) 09:52, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear JBchrch, thank you so much for your kind and informative answer. I really didn´t know that for my support of somebody about Wikipedia article publication and get some money I come into COI with the guidelines.

I want to say and this is important that Marte Bjørndal currently refuses to answer the question wheatear she will pay my support or not. Since her article has not yet full-filled the crieteria. And was not published in the first attempt.

So I am not a payed author and in future I will respect the rules you described!

Thank You so much also regarding and for the reference fot the feminist writing contest :)!

Philipp Straub moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Philipp Straub, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I believe that the company is notable, please add inline citations to the text where they should be, use newspapers and other reliable sources which mention the company and its projects. I added some references so that you can understand the difference between having links at the bottom of the page and inline citations. --Bbarmadillo (talk) 00:21, 21 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
