Disambiguation link notification for November 13
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Spectrum (arena), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page In the Flesh Tour (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Hello
[edit]Hello, I have been admiring your work from afar. I love your commitment to modernizing NFL pages, I have been doing the same thing with my own favorite team, the Patriots. I have put a lot of work in making my favorite team's page so much better/modernizing: (before my edits pre-07/16/22 https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=New_England_Patriots&oldid=1096088320) vs. (after my edits post-07/16/22 New England Patriots), and I see you are doing a great job helping out the rest of the league.
I wanted to ask some advice, the only big issue left on the main Patriots page in my opinion is the teams brief summary for their franchise history. I want to put a more detailed history like some other teams but it is a huge undertaking to write an original big section like that and do all of the references. However, I do not want to copy the main article page of the History of the Patriots, because then what would be the point of having a separate page? Do you recommend I write up a whole new history summary which could take a while (I'm also planning on working on the Patriots draft history page) or copy and attribute from the main history page, but yet leave that page with no extra purpose since it's a 1-for-1 copy? I envy the other franchises dedicated writers who have full length summaries on their franchises page (Eagles, Cowboys, 49ers) and have even more detail on their history of [franchise] page. I've come so far so I feel obligated to finish the job and make sure that section feels finished.
Thank you for reading and great job on your contributions. Pats6XChamps (talk) 06:01, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- You can copy and past from articles within Wikipedia as long as you make the appropriate attribution. See the above talk discussion on Copying within Wikipedia. I was going to begin that on the Patriots page myself at this moment. I can organize the page into the same fashion that I have done for the other 31 teams. You are more than welcome to make additions to things from there and continue your work on the draft selections section.
- My advice would be if you want to copy and paste then make sure that you take out any unnecessary and incorrect information. From my experience the History pages for most teams are a bit messy and lack organization. I've always thought that separate history pages should be removed and the history only remain on the team's main page. Whiterabbitzero (talk) 06:29, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you! And thank you for importing the whole thing. It is much appreciated! Pats6XChamps (talk) 09:22, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- made just a few adjustments to what you have added. the additional sections of Brady/Belichick and Mac Jones are not necessary. If you look at what I have done for other teams you'll see that the sub sections are acting more as bookmarks to highlight team history (Era) Owners (Years) Coaches and (Championships/NFL/AFL/Super Bowl) My goal is to have all 32 team articles conform to the same set up.
- Please add more photos to this section, as it looks a bit empty. Remember that there should only be one single single photo of a player on a page. You can add multiple photos of Brady playing during a game or ones with other players and coaches. Whiterabbitzero (talk) 19:32, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- Got you. I'll do what you said in the coming days in waves. Thank you! Pats6XChamps (talk) 02:34, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- Also though please explain what you mean by the photos mandate, you mean just in the History section right? Pats6XChamps (talk) 02:35, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you! And thank you for importing the whole thing. It is much appreciated! Pats6XChamps (talk) 09:22, 23 August 2022 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from History of the New York Jets into New York Jets. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. BalinKingOfMoria (talk) 02:08, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
Yes. My apologies. I usually do that but seemed to have forgotten when editing the jets page. Whiterabbitzero (talk) 02:56, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

[edit]- I'm not sure what you mean exactly. A "regular season game" is the correct term, as it applies to it's difference from a "playoff game", "pre-season game", "exhibition game", etc. Whiterabbitzero (talk) 22:12, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
