Gustavo Vazquez Article
Hi my name is Andrea Lopez. I am a student at the University of California at Santa Cruz. I was assigned to create a Wikipedia page for Gustavo Vazquez who is a professor here at the university, by another professor. I am not sure how I can prove this to Wikipedia. Any help would be great, thanks. Dlopez19 (talk) 03:45, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
Declined BLP PROD
Hi Way2veers, I've declined the BLP PROD at Alexander von roon since the article creator added a reference to the article. You may still use a regular PROD or AfD if you think the article should still be deleted. And as a procedural note, I'll be moving the article to Alexander von Roon per normal capitalization rules. --BDD (talk) 21:41, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

I am trying to build pages for businesses that are of interest to people, not to necessarily promote them. Similar to pages about larger companies listed on Wikipedia, smaller businesses should have the right to benefit as well. This is just the first of many pages I plan to create for multiple businesses. IF you believe this is incorrect, than at least provide a valid reason. I will then provide you with a list of hundreds of other businesses listed on Wikipedia you need to flag for deletion as well; otherwise you appear, at least to me, as someone trying only to eliminate certain businesses from appearing on this site.— Preceding unsigned comment added by USAMarketingConsultant (talk • contribs)

Thanks, and a thought
Hello. Thanks for reviewing my article. I appreciate your contributions. Just one quick thought -- and not one of great moment. I recognize that you are a new editor, so thought this might be helpful input. You tagged it as an orphan, which was accurate. The tag was applied one minute after it was created. When I create an article, it usually takes me a few minutes to: 1) form the refs; and 2) create the inbound links so it will not be an orphan (if that would otherwise be the case). I imagine some other editors may be in a similar position. Thus, if you can -- without undue inconvenience -- wait ... say 20 minutes before tagging, you might find that your tags are of better services to the Project. In this case I in the normal course created the inbound links and removed the tag. But a higher percentage of your tags will be useful I expect if you wait those few minutes, so the creating editor can do the post-posting-the-article work. In any event, many thanks for your contributions to the project. Best.--Epeefleche (talk) 03:35, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
- Many thanks. Best.--Epeefleche (talk) 04:43, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your help with the vital work of patrolling new pages. I noticed that you are not marking some of the pages you've reviewed as patrolled. Please do remember to click the 'mark this page as patrolled' link at the bottom of the new page if you have performed the standard patrolling tasks. Where appropriate, doing so saves time and work by informing fellow patrollers of your review of the page, so that they do not duplicate efforts. Thanks again for volunteering your time at the new pages patrol project. Eyesnore (PC) 22:20, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi Way2veers. Just to let you know, I've declined the CSD tag you put on John Atwood (American football). I'm making an article on a hip-hop artist I'm a fan of Tsu Surf and it got marked for speedy deletion. Titus Quinctius Capitolinus Barbatus
Way2veers, I saw the above "incomplete" on Titus Quinctius Capitolinus Barbatus as I was posting the other notice, and had a look at the article itself. DYK requires inline citations for every paragraph. And the hook itself needs to be stated in the article and an inline, ideally also online, citation at the end of the sentence. If left as is, it will be disqualified on that. I see no one has delved into that nomination, so perhaps you could deal with it before someone looks at it. If you are unsure what I'm referring to, just peruse other nominated articles at DYK. Best. — Maile (talk) 12:00, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
Bistritz criterion
Hello Way2veers, you posed quite many reservations on the "Bistritz criterion" almost at no time after it was posted. I am familiar with the topic to not agree with some of them but novice to Wikipedia to know how to proceed. Could you consider a revision that probably will remove some of your reservation then I shall try to help with the remaining ones? In the meanwhile I suggest to change the article title to "Bistritz stability criterion" to make it similar to the related "Routh-Hurwitz stability criterion" and "Jury stability criterion". Again I do not know how this can be done.

Hi Way2veers
I repeat my request to move the name of the article Bistritz criterion to Bistritz stability criterion. If this is beyond your permissions please forward my request to one that has such permission.
I also do not know how to remove or dispute some of your comments with which I do nor agree. Two of them dispute the neutrality of the article? Have you examined references [3] and [4] that were added? These are works not by Bistritz that support anything that might have caused so harsh comments. The test is recognized by others as the equivalent of the Routh test and the most efficient algorithm for its task. It appears in some textbooks too. so why its neutrality is dubious?
I think that the added [3] [4] that are secondary sources also suffice to remove the complaint on primary sources as well as several other of your comments. As the one who put this comment I assume you also have the permissions to remove them.
I shall return soon to work on improving the article regarding the justified comments (e.g. more links and cross link)
Thank you

Romans and Byzantines
Hello! Nice of you to create these long-missing articles on Roman and Byzantine office-holders, but please not two things: first, do not use their Italian names which you obviously found in the Italian Wikipedia, but their Latin ones, since Italian is a modern language, and second, please be more discriminate with the usage of the "monarch infobox". Neither a Roman consul not a Byzantine exarch were monarchs. Cheers, Constantine ✍ 10:42, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Your undo of my editing - British overseas territories
Hello, it seems that you do not allow me to remove Spain from the list of countries with maritime borders with British Overseas Territories. By doing so you must know that the article contains misleading information and you are contributing to spread this false information, because there are no such maritime borders between Spain and any British Overseas Territory. I assume that by including Spain in that list you refer to the case of Gibraltar. However, to do so, you should read first the article X of the Treaty of Utrecht, by which Spain gave to "the Crown of Great Britain the full and entire propriety of the town and castle of Gibraltar, together with the port, fortifications, and forts thereunto belonging". Nothing was written about surrounding waters, and therefore this colony has no jurisdictional waters, except for the port, that it is mentioned in the Treaty. When a country is forced to give territory to another country, it gives exactly what it gives and nothing more than that. You must accept what an international treaty says and not what you would like it to say. There are many things that we may not like and we have to accept, and not by writing an article in Wikipedia you are going to change history or change an international treaty. At the most, what you can do with that attitude is to introduce confusion and generate more conflicts. But this is not the purpose of Wikipedia. For that you can use your own propaganda tools. There are no international agreements or treaties that stablish any maritime border between Spain and any British Overseas Territory, wether we like it or not. Please review United Nations official resolutions on this issue. So, if you do not allow me to modify the article, at least remove Spain from that list. I do not ask you to have sympathy for Spain, but only to have respect for history, for Wikipedia and for Wikipedia's readers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Flmtnez (talk • contribs) 23:34, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

I declined the speedy for Ezinachi, as the page you listed as copyvio was actually a mirror of the Wikipedia article. There are still issues with notability, but none that I think could be easily speedied in any way. I think AfD would be the way to go for this one. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:10, 30 June 2013 (UTC)
Request undoing the Speedy Deletion of Page: Philippe Padovani
I work on behalf of Chef Philippe Padovani who had asked me, Rey del Rios, to update and correct the Hawaiian Cuisine page since his name was omitted as one of the original chefs that initiated the Hawaiian Cuisine movement. The reference sources confirms his claim. Chef Padovani, as one of the original chefs of the Hawaiian Cuisine movement and the owner of his own website, requested that his site's bio be use to provide additional information pertaining to the article. Please email Chef Philippe Padovani at philippe@padovanichocolates.com or call him at 808-536-4567 to request the use of his copyrighted material. Upon confirmation of its use, please undo the speedy deletion of the page as soon as possible. Thank you for your timely attention to this matter. Aloha from Rey del Rios, reyd@hawaii.rr.com, 808-596-4102. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Reydelhi (talk • contribs) 12:04, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your assistance on the process for undoing the Speedy Deletion of Chef Philippe Padovani's Bio page. I know that he has emailed the WP:CONSENT form to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Would you know how long the process for reversing Speedy Deletion will take? I truly appreciate your assistance on this matter. interlanguage link
Hi, thank you for the cookies :). Every time I try to link a polish and english web page. No matter which direction I try, I get : "The external client site did not provide page information" The pages are : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Szostkiewicz and http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Szostkiewicz. When I enter the link, I enter the language as well. Help! Dcwills (talk) 20:33, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
Hi, I figured it out! the key is you specify the language, and the wikipedia page name, not the entire wikipedia link. Therefore "Polish" and "Adam_Szostkiewicz" works.
Thank you so much! Dcwills (talk) 07:34, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

British overseas territories
Dear Way2veers, thank you for your advice on how to get my proposal for the British Overseas Territories article accepted. Two editors have supported my opinion that the sentence "These territories form maritime borders with the United States, Spain, The Bahamas and Cuba, among others" should be removed. Please see the comments that they have left to my entry on the talk page of this article (entry 5): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:British_Overseas_Territories The mentioned sentence is very conflictive and provides no useful information, as the editors explain in their comments to my entry. Therefore, please, I ask you to allow me removing that sentence, because I have tried several times and always my modification has been undone. Or otherwise, please remove it yourself. Thank you very much for your attention.Flmtnez (talk) 20:34, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- Dear Way2veers, another editor has supported my request to remove the above mentioned sentence of conflict from the article "British overseas territories" (see talk page). Please, I kindly ask you to inform me, if you can, about what steps should I follow to request the removal of this sentence, because it makes an indirect allusion to an international conflict between the UK and Spain, assuming that the right is on one side of this conflict, and without making any reference to the right of the other side to refuse such claims of maritime sobereignty and therefore of a maritime border.Flmtnez (talk) 10:32, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Adam Davies (footballer) (born 1992), English footballer
Hi.
I saw you where reviewing new articles, which I am trying to learn, and I saw this article Adam Davies (footballer) (born 1992), English footballer. This article does not follow WP:NFOOTBALL, becase this player has not played in any Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Fully professional leagues. Is this something that should go through article for deletion or speedy deletion? Cant find any good criteria for speedy deletion. QED237 (talk) 13:06, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- Now I saw you putting it for speedy deletion because of A10. Is it because of this or something else? Trying to understand why you want it deleted. QED237 (talk) 13:16, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry now I saw the other similar article. QED237 (talk) 13:17, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
Hi again.
There is a minor "problem" I thought I would let you know about. You did put the article for deletion on A10 because there already was a page for that footballer. Then I put that old article for deletion here, and got the answer that it was actually a article about a player bought 1987 (and change by the editor who created the deleted article). So the reason for speedy deletion was incorrect (not easy to know), but the article should be removed (due to the reason stated above) so I guess it got right in the end. Disambiguation link notification for August 6
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Publius Manlius Capitolinus, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Patricians (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Fordyce spots
Hello, I'm new to Wikipedia and am not sure if this is the right place to comment, but about the proposed merging of Fordyce spots with angiokeratomas, I'd like to add that the confusion stems from the fact that the term has been used to describe BOTH sebaceous hyperplasia of the genital or oral skin (which also gets confused with epidermal cysts in the same regions, which are often clinically difficult to distinguish) as well as angiokeratomas of the scrotum, which are an entirely different process. I think it may make most sense to add an item to the Fordyce Spots entry stating that the term is also used to describe angiokeratomas of the scrotum, with a link to take them to that entry. Cheers! Message left upon my notice board
The matter of both Crow Hall Halt and Roe Buck Halt that were both closed in the 1840 and the 1841 period is a matter that a senior rail historian who is very well versed in the rail history of the area in question has sent on to me. He states that these two very short lived railway stations were replaced by the two railway stations of Barton and Broughton and of Brock as the road connections existing in the 1840 and 1841 period were better to the newer station sites. I was also informed that resident at the time of Crow Hall decided that the Crow Hall Halt was not to the liking of the family.
The elderly person sending me the above information has lectured upon the social history of the North of England and of the establishment of the Poor Law Unions whilst a member of the professorial staff at Manchester University in the 1970's. He is also an accredited expert on the Hundreds of the Lancashire region.
I placed this information upon the website as I had no reason to doubt of the veracity of what had been intimated to me. I will be 70 years of age next birthday and the holder of a very high IQ level and whilst in employment, served at the level of Senior Management for the last thirty-five years in my business life and on retirement, held the position of Senior Head of Projects at our consultancy.
Perhaps this affront to my integrity is a way of asking me not to participate in such matters on your information boards in future. If this be so, what line do I have to take in order to ensure that I never impinge upon your sensibilities again ? I am extremely angry about this matter as I had assumed that there was freedom of information exchange espoused by this site that all members of the public were entitled to.....evidentially this appears not to be the case.
If you wish to carry on this debate, I ask that you contact me upon paulsidorczuk@btinternet.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paul Sidorczuk (talk • contribs) 18:11, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
Fen Line template
Barnwell Junction did not have any platforms on this line, as the platform was only on the branch line that led up to Mildenhall.
Can you therefore delete the entry for that closed station on the template for the Fen Line

Your recent help notes left on my page
You may not realize that at the age of 67 in July 2012, I suffered from a major stroke and then ten months ago, a mini-stroke. Whilst I am recovering from the trauma that was caused by this second episode, I confess to having lapses in concentration that are something that I was not afflicted with prior to these two unfortunate medical episodes.
I will endeavour to add some explanatory text matter in the box that you have drawn my attention to, should I feel the need to make an amendment in future.
I trust that, knowing of my medical situation, you will be so kind as to make certain allowances for this should I forget.

Thank you for this....I have left a message for you on your page that may explain matters.
I have also left three matters of query raised to me on the useddenim personal talk page, that I would ask you to view, noting the implications that have been raised as to my future ability to make edits on your website. Can you discuss this matter with him, please.

Template : Cranwell branch line
I know this is a very minor branch line that has extremely few contributors and finding myself unable to make contact with the two in question, I have come you for help in resolving a matter on the line template, in case you can either contact them or action the matter yourself
On that template, the intermediate station of RAUCEBY is shown, but there was never such a station on that line. In fact, if you actually click on that entry, it brings up the Wikipedia article an the currently open station of Rauceby, which is on a different line altogether.
