Status re copyright and COI
[edit]Dear Zwerschke,
I am asking for your help in clarifying something.
- I came across an image you contributed. See the discussion there. A very similar image is used by the company Telelift as a promotional shot in copyrighted material.
- Another image you contributed was deleted as a copyright violation. You commented "The image is actually made by a photographer but it belongs to me because I bought it". This confuses me. Do you actually buy the copyrights to commercial, promotional, images?
- Your edits on English and German WP seem to focus on Telelift articles, and adding links to Telelift from other subjects.
- To add to the confusion, there is also a user Zwerschke~commonswiki, also focusing on adding Telelift related material. Is this you, too?
Please take note and help us clarify:
Hello, Zwerschke. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Telelift, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

Dear Superp
Thanks for your message. I actually owe technical images of monorail technology and know that some of them are the same as the mentioned company uses.
If there should be an issue, then I can change mentioned image.
Reason for participating on these article is the patents that were granted to the company.
Best regards Winfried (zwerschke) 93.193.155.126 (talk) 17:39, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your quick response. I have two points:
- Your comment above includes an IP address. If this is by mistake, please read WP:OSPOL, especially point 1 there.
- Am I right in concluding you have no relationship with Telelift, and you own the copyright to some of the images Telelift uses for promotional purposes?
- Superp (talk) 20:43, 21 June 2022 (UTC)
- There is also Zwerscke, with the 'h' missing, who focuses on Telelift in their editing too. Is this you, too? Superp (talk) 07:13, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
Dear Superp
I do not know how the IP address was included. Probably because I am not logged in.
I had business contact with libraries where the mentioned company installed systems.
Is it what you are asking for?
