Hi, just to let you know I have transferred this request to Categories for discussion which is more appropriate place for renaming of categories. It indicates 2 day turn round on the page for speedy renames. Keith D (talk) 22:38, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Category renames
[edit]I have removed your move request templates from both Category talk:American politicians by ethnicity and Category talk:American writers by ethnicity. In order to move a category, you have to follow the procedure outlined at WP:CfR. Thanks. JPG-GR (talk) 21:31, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Best regards
[edit]So very glad to have you back and at your old ways again. I almost missed having to constantly revert questionable edits of yours and type until I turned blue in the fingers about how controlling and "my way or the highway" you are. Welcome back, friend, and have at the astrology pages. I'm through with them and I'm through with you. Samuel Grant (talk) 13:42, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Related categories
[edit]Hey there, Just wanted to let you know that I removed the circular parent cats from Category:Belarusian-American Jews and Category:Russian-American Jews, since neither is properly a sub-category of the other -- much less both of one another. (oy veh) There is another option, which is horizontal linkage as related categories. I'm not sure that I consider them more closely related to one another than say, Russian & Ukrainian or Ukrainian & Belarusian. Then again, perhaps they should all be linked to one another horizontally. Anyways, if you want to link them, I created an easy-to-use template that I use all the time for this purpose, called Template:CatRel, which you might like to make use of. Regards, Cgingold (talk) 07:59, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Henry Lehman, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://oldstocks.stores.yahoo.net/lebronewistf.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 22:15, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
The hourglass has run out...
[edit]... on this category, which you defended valiantly the last time around. (funny how that CFD wasn't included in the list... An oversight, I'm sure. :) Cgingold (talk) 05:45, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know, I appreciate that. I'll defend the category this time around too, though it will probably be deleted by these people who want to delete/censor nearly all of the categories, along with many of the articles, dealing with Jews and Jewish topics here on Wikipedia. I haven't been very active on Wikipedia much lately because I'm just sick of having so much valuable, correct, and accurate data repeatedly deleted/censored by these people. If Category:Jewish businesspeople does manage to get deleted despite its pertinence as a valid and scholarly field of study, I'll just recreate it as a list in my userspace area in order to avoid the loss of so much correct and accurate data, so at least it'll be preserved on some level. --Wassermann (talk) 09:12, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Warning and request about personal attacks against IZAK
[edit]Hi Wasserman: Consider this to be your third and final warning not to violate WP:CIVIL, WP:NPA, WP:AGF, WP:NOT#BATTLEGROUND towards me because lately you have been angrily attacking me personally rather than arguing your case as you should be doing. Please stop your offensive behavior or I will be forced to take stronger action against you on Wikipedia, something I do not like doing, and that I have rarely done, but will do so in your case if your tone and style of making comments about and against me in official AfD or CfD forums do not stop. You can make the same points without turning me into your chosen "villain" which I resent. In case you have not read my two requests and warnings and very clear protests I have directed towards you, I am reposting them here for you to read and note well:
- Excuse me Wasserman, you are violating WP:NPA and WP:AGF. Simply because I do not share your views does not mean that you have to attack me personally, and it's not the first time either since you seem to think that knocking me as you enter a discussion is the "right" intro to promote your agenda of creating or promoting endless and mind-numbing trivialized lists and categories of Jews. I do not have a "censorial attitude and agenda" and I am legitimately entitled to my position as much as you are to yours, but I do argue my case and it seems to have convinced many admins over the years to delete the trivial categories and lists of Jews in question. Now to get to your proposed category, could you please tell us how would you define "Jewish descent"? And you do realize that a claim of "Jewish descent" means that on one level they are still Jews and part of Judaism, certainly according to views in Judaism, so that therefore it is impossible to be part of two mutually exclusive and even contradictory religions at the same time. For example if one is Jewish, even by descent, then one may NOT be and cannot also be a Hindu or Buddhist since those religions worship multiple gods and deities fobidden to Jews by Judaism, and a Jew doing so is, and should be correctly categorized as, an Apostate Jew (and Wikipedia has tried hard not to have nasty categories like Category:Apostate Jews or Category:Jewish apostates.) While categories by profession and nationality are a lot easier to deal with at least, this one is best deleted because it can never stand the test of logic, fact, and theology, so why push a dead-ended category that is a Frankenstein-like caricature of a category contradiction in terms. IZAK (talk) 10:19, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- Wasserman, I am warning you for the last time to desist from violating WP:NPA and WP:AGF against me with uncalled for allegations such as: "And in the future please have User:IZAK do his own nomination for deletion instead of 'requesting' that you list them here in an apparent attempt to hide or cover up his censorious agenda regarding Jewish categories." If you wish to argue the merits of your position please do so based on logic and reason but there is no need to attack me personally and miscast my motives. There is nothing "censorious" by me and there is no "apparent attempt to hide or cover up" anything. You well know that my views are open for all to read at User:IZAK/Deleting lists and categories of Jews, and I am ready to discuss these positions, and anyone is free to argue the pros and cons of that. But personal attacks and paranoid accusations against me are uncalled for and I willl pursue whatever means I can to stop you from your annoying and offensive personal attacks against me. I repeat: This is your last warning not to attack me personally. I do not do it to you, do not do it me! IZAK (talk) 19:23, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
I thank you in advance for your future efforts not to violate WP:CIVIL, WP:NPA, WP:AGF and WP:NOT#BATTLEGROUND towards me. There is no room on Wikipedia for anger and personal insults and negative innuendo. Say what you have to say politely, logically and rationally and I will respond accordingly in kind. Thanks again. Yours sincerely, IZAK (talk) 19:46, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
