Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless that text is available under a suitable free license. If you still have questions, there is the Teahouse, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page and someone will be along to answer it shortly. As you get started, you may find the pages below to be helpful.

Information icon Hello, I'm Daniel Case. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to List of megaprojects in India have been disallowed by an edit filter as they did not appear constructive. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. If you believe the edit filter disallowance was a false positive, please report it here. Feel free to ask for assistance at the Teahouse whenever you like. Thank you. What was the name of your earlier account?

You must have had one if you created an article some time ago. Doug Weller talk 06:57, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon When contributing to Wikipedia articles, please consider whether it is better to write a word or phrase out in full, thus avoiding potential confusion for those not familiar with its abbreviation. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Abbreviations. Your recent edit to the article on the Economy of India, did the opposite when you changed "Finance, Banking, Insurance" to "BFSI" (a little known abbreviation). The objective in Wikipedia is to produce a widely-used encyclopaedia.

If you read the article at BFSI, you will see that it follows good practice in that the the text spells out abbreviations when they are first met. So if you had wanted to use the term "BFSI" in the text of the article on the Economy of India, you should have done the same.-- Toddy1 (talk) 18:46, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pondicherry

[edit]

Hi @VideshiBhaktNRI, I've reverted your most recent edits on the Pondicherry page, due to the way the content was introduced. It is fair to add content of this type, meaning, that which accurately describes unsavoury aspects of a place, but it should be done properly, in an encyclopedic manner. I suggest you create a separate section in the article for this purpose, and also make sure your [[correctly format references. Cheers! Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 14:15, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ok, got it VideshiBhaktNRI (talk) 05:18, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm SunDawn. I noticed that in this edit to Tourism in India, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 14:35, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Elephant riding is not a formally acknowledged or an official tourism policy of india
better to remove it because many people die due to elephant riding, as it is considered dangerous within India VideshiBhaktNRI (talk) 14:44, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello VideshiBhaktNRI! Hopefully you have a nice day today. That's not a valid reason to remove a section of the article. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 15:02, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Economy of India, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Megaport. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
